Great location, do not bother going to the new town stay with the old and medieval city. We like a bit of real but the new town is the antithesis of the beautifully kept and pristine unesco site; dirty restaurants, dilapidated buildings and quite frankly some weird looking people who looked like they were on drugs!!! Back to the B... More

We had one night here and had a modern minimalist furnished large bedroom with a huge Bathroom all with a view of the old bridge. The room was on a street corner but we weren't bothered by any noise but we were early in the tourist season. The bath was enormous as were the two handbasins - could bath a... More

I had just one night at the Bloc G, earlier this month - found it an interesting, quirky place with a very nice hostess who had my room ready for me early, and also a British bloke who worked the bar and who gave me an early breakfast as I had to catch a train before official breakfast began. My... More

We had a big room with huge en suite and views of the Pont Vieux. Easy and free parking right outside, short walk to La Cite's Aude gate. Staff all spoke English, room was made up each day, and it was spotlessly clean; breakfast had an excellent range (though I would have liked to feel I could help myself to... More

The location is great, just at the end of the pedestrian bridge and only about a 10 minute, fairly steep walk, to the old city. The new part of town and the Canal du Midi is easily accessible too, so the best of both worlds. The accommodation is quite quirky and minimalist but very comfortable and for our room we... More

It's cute and fashionable little place with a friendly price tag. Love the minimalist and clean theme, even the common areas and breakfast room had cute little touches. I admit the design of some of the fittings made our stay a little impractical (the shelves to put our stuff in were so curvy-wurvy), but it was quirky and fun enough... More

Terrific location and free parking outside the door. We had a splendid suite, and wish we could have stayed longer. Food and wine very good, and the staff are really super. Can totally recommend Bloc G, and will go back.

Excellent urban apartments. Nice design. Cosy. Very friendly owners, excellent food and service. Quiet place to stay, including views of the walled village. It is within walking distance of the old and new Carcassonne.

This is not a B&B as some reviews have stated. It has a perfectly nice restaurant, albeit a bit utilitarian, in line with the remainder of the hotel's style. We had a lovely meal on our first night, served with one of the nicest red wines I have had in a while. Perfectly located a ten-minute uphill walk from the... More

We stayed here for 4 nights on our trip to Carcassonne. Pros - ideally situated between the medieval city and the new city. Spacious room, comfortable bed, efficient air conditioning, friendly guy serving breakfast. Cons - wifi downstairs but not in room, limited toiletries provided (no shampoo), expensive for what it was.
