Beautiful hotel with a lot of personality. Great deco, clean, modern with a lovely pool, bar and reception area. The rooms are small but clean and the bathrooms are nice and fresh. Literally a 100m away from the entrance of the fortified wall of the medieval town which is amazing. We split our time between hanging around the pool and... More

Don't be put off by the street view from the back entrance, this place is a gem! I too like another reviewer came here at the end of a trip staying in rural hotels, which were also great, but the modern chic of this place was refreshing. Helpful staff. Breakfast majors of local produce, plenty enough for me, but certainly... More

We stayed for one night, it was clean, comfortable, stylish, nice bathroom as well. Close proximity to the castle which was perfect for us. We chose to walk from the main carcassonne train station which a good 1 mile away, but nice enough to walk if you dont have loads of luggage. I would stay here again, I doubt there... More

We stayed here with our 11year old daughter. We were given a fantastic large suite with 2 double beds and 2 single beds with a nice bathroom off the courtyard next to the pool. The hotel doesn't look much from the outside but love the French chic quirky look on the inside. Staff very helpful. 2 mins walk to walled... More

Except for a great location, this hotel is average. The furnishings are very spartan, the carpets are in need of cleaning. The bathroom wall tiles were at some point painted over. Unfortunately the large sections of mold near the bathubs are lifting the paint and showing through. Not a pretty sight.

An average rating is not really fair as this hotel has a nice pool area, which we would have used if the weather had been warmer (but it was late October!) and a lovely reception area. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was good, if a little overpriced at 12 Euros. What let it down for us was the... More

This was a fine choice of hotel, the location being so close to the walled city and it's many restaurants in the evening, yet only a half hour walk to the Canal du Midi or the train station for visiting Ville Basse during the day. The hotel itself was very stylish and comfortable, staff were friendly and helpful and we... More

We really enjoyed this hotel. Set just a minute or two outside the walled city of Carcassonne, it was a fun place for us to stay. After weeks of old (but wonderful) hotels in various cities and villages in France, it was refreshing to stay in a new, colorful and rather hip little hotel! The bed was very comfortable, nice... This was my second visit to Carcassonne and after having had a really wonderful stay at the Hotel Montmorency on my first visit, I wanted this time to experience it's sister hotel l'Octroi - I wasn't disappointed. As an English expat living in Denmark, I really liked the modern Scandinavian design of the hotel which is laid out on different... More

First the good news. I've just returned from 3 nights at Hotel Octori and it is a spotless, efficient little boutique hotel. The breakfasts are good (croissants and pannos), considering that they don't have cooking facilities, so no omelettes, etc. It is located about 5 minutes from the 'Porte Norbonaise' to the Cite (the best entrance). The Cite is very... More
