An average rating is not really fair as this hotel has a nice pool area, which we would have used if the weather had been warmer (but it was late October!) and a lovely reception area. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was good, if a little overpriced at 12 Euros. What let it down for us was the... More

This was a fine choice of hotel, the location being so close to the walled city and it's many restaurants in the evening, yet only a half hour walk to the Canal du Midi or the train station for visiting Ville Basse during the day. The hotel itself was very stylish and comfortable, staff were friendly and helpful and we... More

We really enjoyed this hotel. Set just a minute or two outside the walled city of Carcassonne, it was a fun place for us to stay. After weeks of old (but wonderful) hotels in various cities and villages in France, it was refreshing to stay in a new, colorful and rather hip little hotel! The bed was very comfortable, nice... This was my second visit to Carcassonne and after having had a really wonderful stay at the Hotel Montmorency on my first visit, I wanted this time to experience it's sister hotel l'Octroi - I wasn't disappointed. As an English expat living in Denmark, I really liked the modern Scandinavian design of the hotel which is laid out on different... More

First the good news. I've just returned from 3 nights at Hotel Octori and it is a spotless, efficient little boutique hotel. The breakfasts are good (croissants and pannos), considering that they don't have cooking facilities, so no omelettes, etc. It is located about 5 minutes from the 'Porte Norbonaise' to the Cite (the best entrance). The Cite is very... More

Stayed for 1 night in family bedroom that comprised 3 separate rooms. Whilst pretty unimpressed by the Carcassonne castle (very touristy, rebuilt etc), this hotel was great. Staff very welcoming, room very comfortable, great (and big) breakfast and small pool which the kids all loved.

The room was very clean and had all the basics but was on the small side. The air con worked fine. The hotel had a small pool which was nice for a dip on a very hot day. The hotel was very close to the castle (Cite)- 2 mins walk. If you are just visiting the Castle then it is... More

This was just right for our stay to visit the medieval cite. The hotel is just down the road from it, away from the bustle but close by enough to make repeated visits. Unfortunately, although we'd booked well ahead, the room wasn't available on the first night which meant a tiny room for this night and then a move, which... More

I shared a room with 2 other friends the room was compact but as on holiday we didn't spent much time in it. Sunbathing & seeing the Medieval City were priority ! The staff were very helpful, friendly & spoke very good English (especially Emilie & Stephanie) The sister hotel La Chateau is bigger more expensive but has a great... More

Small everything but comfortable and a stones throw to the castle. Pool was tiny but perfect for a quick cool down in the soaring heat. Helpful staff. Short taxi ride from the airport which worked out more reasonable than public transport.
