The Villa is undoubtedly the best hotel in Aigues Mortes and a place I would definitely revisit. From start to finish top service from friendly and helpful staff who went all out to please. Receptionist Fabien is a true gem. Lovely room - overlooking the gardens - large with a great bathroom. Finally had a shower with room to move... More

We stayed at the Villa Mazarin for a week in the summer and, upon arrival, were at first shocked by its exterior. The windows were blind with dust and it was hardly recognizable as a hotel of the higher range. But once inside, we were overwhelmed by the marvellously renovated rooms with their tasteful furniture and superb bathrooms, the fantastic... More

The Villa is one of the most beautiful places in Aigues Mortes. Unfortunately, prices are too expansive in comparison with rooms and services. Rooms are big but a few little things can't be tolerated, such as Low quality furniture, low lights and clearing services (in the afternoon!!). There's no place for guests Who want to read a book out of... More

This is a lovely hotel. The rooms are large and we had a great shower. The pool is superb, albeit a little cool. We were disappointed with the restaurant. We had breakfast on our last day, which was fine. But we'd saved dinner at the restaurant for our last evening. The meal was OK, but for €44 I expected more.... More

I have to say postive remarks are well deserved. This hotel is very well situated in Aigues Mortes, and have a very nice pool, hamam and jacuzzi. The staff is very profesionnal. The only negative point I can find is the breakfast. For 14 euros it could have been a little bit more complex and have some eggs, bacon, waffles...... More

I loved this place. It is located within the city walls, has lovely garden, swimming pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. There is parking on site for 12 Euro per night. The breakfast buffet was good but a bit pricey at 14 Euro. You can take breakfast on the terrace, which is lovely. The rooms are huge, the beds comfy... More

When I was looking for a hotel halfway between Barcelona and Nice, I was at first struck by the paucity of 'interesting' choices. So I decided to try Aigues Mortes, which I loved as a place, but had only previously visited for lunch. The Mazarin seemed to be a secret, but sounded OK, so I took a chance. It's down... More

Stayed for one night. Nice central location within the wall of Aigues Mortes with an underground car park. The entrance to the car park was a little tricky (probably because of a large 4x4 parked adjacent to the door on our visit) but bags of room once inside. Very friendly and helpful staff. We opted to eat there in the... More

Aigues-Mortes is one of those magical Provençal villages that begs exploring. We wanted to book something within close proximity of the Camargue salt flats, among other attractions, and happened upon many positive reviews of Villa Mazarin. We spent three nights and the place did not disappoint. The hotel's history is fascinating and its rooms are generous in size and beautifully... More

Simply lovely hotel. Excellent location in such an interesting town with lots to see and do wondering the old streets and ramparts. The hotel and staff made us feel like appreciated guests rather than just another booking. It was luxuriously appointed, but not excessive; and it was interesting hearing about the hotel history. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable,... More
