We were back after a few years, and the good impression was confirmed, I think the hotel gained a star in the meantime, and it definitely deserves even more then 3 stars. Kind staff, clean, big room (I think ours was actually one of the biggest), really confortable beds, very quite (rooms face an internal court: just outside there is... More

Very comfortable beds. Our second floor room was small but in line with what is the norm in France. Easy access to the train station, just a few blocks away. All day train and bus passes are 11 euro each. We didn't want to risk damage to our rental car by staying in Paris. This hotel was awesome and had... More

Hello, Thank you very much for your wonderful comment. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay with us and that the staff made it that much more special. As well as having stables here, the King would also stock his meat and fish (many people to feed at the Château!). Our parking is indeed a plus and I see you made... More

Pros: - 10 min walk to Versailles palace and gardens - free parking - close to restaurants, bars and weekend markets - comfy beds - friendly staff Cons: - very creaky floor boards - you'll hear everyone in your room and the neighbors room when they get up to go to the loo in the night - paper thin walls... Hello, Thank you for taking the time to comment. Our creaky floor boards are from the original parquet underneath the carpets that we cannot alter, we apologise for the inconvenience this caused you during your stay along with the disturbance from neighbouring rooms. Our hotel is indeed very old (proper 17th century old! where the King stocked fish, meat, a... More

Room very typically French --basic accommodation, reasonably priced but do not expect any frills. Quiet with safe parking, its central position and its proximity to the Palace give this hotel an edge over many others Breakfast was average as well--so eat out!!!

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to comment. We hope your stay will be more satisfying next time around with more breakfast articles as it is indeed fairly basic for the moment. Our free parking and location is a big advantage along with the historical content of the building. We hope you will be able to attribute an extra... More

Stayed one night and great location. Easily 10 minute walk to the Chateau. Great places to eat right outside the hotel. Hotel room was updated and very comfortable with the typical small French bathroom, but because it was redone, it was great. No air conditioning so was warm at night, but very quiet for being right in the city. Front... More

Hello, Thank you for commenting on our hotel. I'm delighted to read you had such a comfortable stay and that our staff was of help. Apologies for the air conditioning, it has been exceptionally hot this year on certain days. Our building is historical and too old to support any heavy installations such as A/C. Nevertheless I hope we will... More

This hotel is in a fantastic location and a free car park (locked at night) in Paris, WOW! its only a very short flat walk to the palace of versailles and surrounded by bars, restaurants, market and cake shops to die for. Hello, Although we thank you for taking the time to comment on our hotel, it is a shame to lower your overall rating for a detail you are unable to explain. We have been coming to this charming hotel for over 20 years and would not stay anywhere else in Versailles. The position is perfect, within walking distance from the train station Rive Droite. The Palace is a ten minute, lovely walk down one of the beautiful tree-lined avenues. The best food market ever takes place on Friday and Sunday mornings... More

Very central location - easy walk to the Palace of Versailles. Plenty of off-road parking. Old-style hotel with plenty of character: some might find it a little dingy but I loved it. Very quiet. Nice breakfast.
