Adorable small hotel with a very convenient location. The friendly personnel is more than happy to rent you one of the bikes, but the times I visited this hotel I just walked or took the tube. You’re in the middle of the Canal Saint-Martin area full of shops, pubs and restaurants. The Marais is close by and so is the... More

I first saw this hotel when I walked down the street, and immediately decided to come back to stay. What caught my attention was the charming old style reception and the bicycles placed outside, to use free of charge for visitors above 18 years old. We stayed four Nights in February, and the hotel totally lived up to expectations. Unfortunately... More

The thing we loved about this hotel was that it was near a metro station, and you could walk to plenty of shops and restaurants, but it was not in a "touristy" section (we encountered many more locals than tourists). The rates were reasonable for Paris (we rented two rooms for our family of four: a room with a double... More

Hotel Du Nord has a central location, close to Le Republique (a square in Paris, located on the border between the 3rd, 10th and 11th arrondissements). We stayed there 3 nights as a family trip. I won't be able to make a comment about the breakfast because our reservation didn't include breakfast. If you want to have breakfast, you have... More

Close to the underground, at a walking distance to Place De La Republique and a little more to the very center ....we were walking to Notre Dame - 1 hour. There are charmant little restaurants, creperie and tapas bar in the neighboorhood, close to the channel. Rooms are basic. The hotel personnel was very welcoming. You could have free bikes... More

We spent 3 nights at Hotel du Nord. We arrived on Eurostar and this hotel was within walking distance of the Gard du Nord. The hotel was very welcoming. We had a room on the top floor at the back of the hotel, so we didn't have a view. The room was fairly basic, but good for the price. It... More

The price is excellent for a hotel in such a good central Paris location - it's probably the best value Paris hotel I've stayed in, especially if you want somewhere that's a bit different! My friend and I loved the 'vintage' feel of the hotel - the decoration, the books, the old furniture and the outside is really pretty. The... More

Rather quaint small hotel, great value for money. Excellent location, 5 min walk from Republique. Staff VERY friendly and helpful. Breakfast fairly standard (tea, coffee, croissants, bread, juice) say other guests bring their own extras. Room rather compact with little hanging / drawer space. Only down sides, no lounge area other than small reception, no bar or facility to make... More

Visited the hotel for the second time May 26th May 2014 and found it the same as we did in 2013, it is in a central location very easy to get to from Gare du Nord, there are plenty of places to eat that will suit all budgets. The staff were very helpful and friendly and were more than willing... More

Neighborhood Profile
Canal Saint-Martin
The tree-lined Canal Saint-Martin is the focal point of one of the most romantic and hip areas of Paris. Watch boats travel along the canal while lovers and friends take in the atmosphere from the banks or the bridges. Evenings see hoards fill the embankments to drink wine and enjoy good company. The colder days lead people to hipster bars, cozy restaurants, and concert spaces. Those who are more adventurous may explore hidden gems down nearby streets, from local bars to futuristic architecture. With its enriching mix of people of all ages and backgrounds, this neighborhood has a dynamic, inspiring vibe.
