Paris-Oasis is an incredibly beautiful lodging within a beautiful city. The decor of each room is charming, and the courtyard is a true garden surrounding a lovely sitting area abundant with beautiful flowers. Our grandchildren enjoyed the indoor pool, and our hosts were so gracious and welcoming. The location at the base of Montmartre is very convenient for metro or... More

Truly, the Iris room is paradise in Paris. The private garden, the cloud-like bed, room darkening shades that make noon midnight and the stunning quiet combined for the best nights' sleep we have ever had in Paris or any other city. The proprietors could not have been more lovely, so welcoming, helpful, and kind. They have provided this art-filled doll's... More

This is a superb place to stay - much nicer and better priced than hotels or people trying to make a quick buck from airbnb with hidden charges etc. Helene was away but her lovely friend Dewey was really welcoming. The room (Lucie Loft) was a great space, really quiet and well equipped. Dewey was so nice to our boys... More

Located in an unassuming building in Montmartre, this small hotel is one happy surprise after another. Our room, (name: Iris) located in a lush garden, with a private outdoor table with chairs, was equipped with everything we needed and more. Though Euro small, this room was comfortable in every way, quiet, nice bath (shower only), cozy, with lovely furnishings and... More

I travelled with 3 friends for a long weekend to Paris and we stayed in the Luci Loft (4 single beds, kitchen, bathroom). Our experience of Paris Oasis was brilliant from the start. We received really clear instructions from Helene on how to get there - including all the different transport options. The guest house was beautiful - as soon... More

I have just returned from a weekend celebrating my 60th birthday, and despite the rather inclement weather can honestly say I now 'get' Paris! Previous trips (mainly for business) have left me feeling Paris was simply a neat European capital city, albeit with some impressive buildings. This time, with the warmth of hospitality shown by Helene and Jean-Louis, and the... More

We stayed here last year with Helene and enjoyed every minute of our time. We had the top floor with three boys under 9 during a very hot few days. The pool & garden made a difference after a day out on trains or looking at sights. I could go about the warmth and genuine feel of the hosts who... More

Hosts Helene and Jean-Louis could not be more charming or helpful. My stay in the ERSI studio was delightful, with every convenience to hand. Ideally situated for Metro and the fascinating Montmartre area, with it's quaint streets and culture. Will certainly go back when the opportunity arises.

This was the perfect European experience for my family and I! This is a beautiful Parisian apartment, there is a spiralling stair case, a lovely garden and heated indoor pool. It is in a great location in Montmarte, within walking distance from Gard Du Nord and close to the Sacre Coeur. The local shops, cafés, Metro and buses including the... More

The best thing about staying here is Helene's warmth and caring personality. She gave me several tips to guide me on my stay. When she found out I did not really have an itinerary she lent me guide books which were pretty helpful; it contained several walking tours that I made my walks more interesting. She also lent me a... More

Staying in Montmartre

Neighborhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colors, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
