My sister and I recently stayed at Hotel Opera Maintenon. It was small, which is typical of Paris, but completely spotless. The staff are so friendly and happy to speak English. The location is amazing, a 2 minute walk from Opera, a 5 minute walk from Rivoli and St Honore. We had a great time, it was a perfect base... More

This place is definitely not how it looks in their pictures. Our room had mirrors on the ceiling, covered in black mold as the bathroom doesn't have a fan. It was tiny, the beds were incredibly uncomfortable and the place has only got a lift on the second floor so you have to carry luggage to the first floor up... More

The staff at the hotel told me that they charge more if you book it through other online travel booking site. It will be cheaper and you can request bigger room if you book it directly with the hotel. I paid at least 20 euros more per night for a much smaller room.

The location of this hotel is a definite positive. You can walk to the Louvre, and other attractions, in a matter of minutes. It can be somewhat noisy though due to the active night life that occurs in the surrounding area. The only negatives, in my opinion, is the extremely dim lighting in the room, which seems to be a... this hotel is on perfect place. We were able to walk around the city without using public transport which really helps to see all the beauty of this city. also we had Louvre gardens near to have breakfast there. we had river enough near to have an evening wine at it. Even I am travelling a lot and taking normally... More

We stayed at this hotel at the last minute. We were supposed to stay in an apartment across the street, but when the agent did not show up, I walked into this hotel and asked to use their business center. They were so fantastic trying to help me, when I figured out the apartment was a scam and in despair... More

Hotel was good, clean and reasonably sized. Most of the staff spoke English and were very helpful. Hotel was in an excellent location, could walk to Louvre, Opera and other attractions and even though the public transport is good didn't need to catch it. Eating places 10 min walk and a lot to chose from. Had a lift after the... More

Terrible service and very disappointing facilities. I will never revisit this hotel. They even tried to charge me for an extra room at departure, when I asked them to show me some documentation, none existed but still the staff insisted that I should pay. Not until I called the Police did they agree to dismiss the charges.
