Stayed for 3 nights (Feb. 2012) as it was convenient for EuroStar train access. Numerous problems such as: - Being initially assigned an occupied room - Safe lacking batteries - took two calls to get resolved - No room heat on 2-3rd nights - service call produced no response - Broken lamp - service call produced no result - No... This Mercure has amazing potential but it has completely gone to seed. Arrived to be overcharged by 50 euros for my room, after an argument they conceded that I was correct and I had booked the rate I quoted. Wallpaper peeling. Lock on room took 5 attempts to function correctly. Hole in the sideboard. Anaemic shower. Both aircon units broken.... More

An excellent experience overall. Polite, professional reception staff, well appointed room and a comprehensive breakfast buffet made for a welcoming holiday. Location for Eurostar passengers on a sight seeeing trip to Paris is unbeatable with on the doorstep access to Gare Du Nord and associated RER/Metro lines. A good selection of bars and restaurants adjacent to the hotel made dining... More

This hotel probably has high occupancy rates because it is directly opposite Gare du Nord, and I suspect that the management take advantage of this fact for not maintaining it to the standard of numerous other Mercure and Accor hotels I have stayed at in recent years. Poor breakfast - when in France or Belgium I judge hotel breakfasts based... More

We had a smooth check-in, the concierge Ngang was really helpful. We were early and they allowed us into our room . The train station was right across the street making it so easy to travel to and from other countries in Europe, as well as to visit our friend in Rouen and because we had so much baggage and... Right opposite Gare Du Nord, so a great hotel for anybody arriving via Eurostar, but we found it to be somewhat run down. The carpets in the rooms (we had two) were both stained with substances we didn't want to know about and not just in a few places, but all over. The air conditioners in both rooms refused to... I was really disappointed in this hotel. As a Mercure hotel I expected a certain standard. I have stayed in numerous accor chain hotels. This one really lets them down.. We stayed as part of a girly weekend for a birthday trip in November 2011. Yes, the location is handy for the station but the area is not good. Our... More
