Is cheap and quiet. I just came back from there. Verry clean. Really close to a bus station. And maybe a little far from a metro. We stayed for 3 nights/4 days. We took only the metro. We had bed and breakfast. The breakfast was good. A lot of things to choose from. Croissants, eggs, ham, at least 3 tipes... More

Villa du Maine is just off the main streets of Montparnasse – Av. du Maine and rue d'Alesia. If you need a place in Paris under €90, which is clean, quiet and has a good bed, Villa du Maine is the place for you. The rooms are small, but spotless clean, the staff is very friendly and there is free... More

Signs of wear and tear everywhere, expensive hotel, terrible and expensive breakfast (10 Euro a person for stale bread, and some eggs if you're lucky on that day), the rooms feel cheap and dirty, there's no soap in the bathroom, no welcoming water. No laundry service either.

Paris is filled with expensive, poshy places which look promising but the size of the room is usually very disappointing. When we stayed there, we had plenty of space, the staff was welcoming and pleasant, which was a good surprise considering the price. The street is quiet, filled with restaurants. Too bad there was some works done early in the... More

After reading recent reviews i was dreading staying here with 3 friends. In fact the hotel is fine. on a quiet side street. The rooms are small and basic, a bit shabby but clean, warm and with comfortable beds and good shower room. Clean sheets and towels each day, helpful management. Convenient for tram to Cite Universitaire and then by... More

I stayed for a week. Every receptionists I met were very nice with smile. I communicated with them mostly in English. The hotel is like an small apartment which made me feel like living in the city. Plaisance is the closest station where 10min to walk from the hotel. The street is quiet but not dangerous because restaurants around there... More

Although the desk clerk was quite nice and polite, the room was in a terrible mess. The carpet was wet, painting was falling all over the place and the smell was awful. For 120 euros the night I will not ever come back on such place.

The floors at any of the hostels we went to were cleaner than the walls in our room and the carpet looked as though it had never been cleaned. There was a flat screen TV but a hole in the wall had been plastered and never sanded or painted. Priorities?? The bathroom was relatively clean, if old, but the bed... More

If you want to travel on a budget but would rather a hotel than a youth hostel, this is okay. Rooms are small but at least we had an okay window (be careful with the railing, it looks so very old). Everything is old but looks reasonably clean - so, don't expect anything sparkling and shiny. Service was okay if... More
