We stayed in this hotel over a weekend for 2 nights as a couple. The hotel was in an ideal location minutes walk from Parmentier Metro Station. There is a good selection of bars and restaurants close by, this does create a bit of noise but this really didn’t bother us. The room itself was small but crisp, spotless and... More

I decided to give 5 stars despite a few small-ish things because hotels in Paris are usually a nightmare (small, not necessarily clean, and usually overpriced) - so this is very, very good for Paris. The hotel appearance in the common areas and rooms is overall very nice, with some strange exceptions. The stairwell and hallway (at least on the... More

Visited Paris for a long weekend with my girlfriend for her 18th birthday and we stayed on the 3rd floor of Hotel Verlaine in a double room. The rooms were very clean and more than adequate for our stay, we had a fantastic break in Paris and the hotel complimented our stay. There are plenty of local shops, bars and... More

Great hotel - clean and comfortable, and everything one needs is right around the corner (even a a laundromat). And I can't say enough about how accommodating and helpful the staff were - just awesome! Nothing ever seemed too much trouble.

A great little hotel with a very friendly and helpful staff. The lift is very small and rooms plain but adequate. We thought it was a great location with the Metro 3 minutes away and restaurants and bars close by. Good price too!

I spent three nights in this small-scale two-star Italian hotel in/near the urban village Butte aux Cailles off Place d'Italie. There is no lift and you have to lug the bags up the winding, narrow (often dark) staircase. The room (facing the road) was clean and neat. The (optional) breakfast @ 6.50 euros was plain but filling. The persons at... More

Incredibly helpful staff and clean rooms. Laundry facilities just around corner. Very close to metro that gets you everywhere. Shops and grocery store in immediate vicinity. Le marais district 10 minutes away by foot

This is a small two star hotel in the 13th Arrondisment in Paris. As a two star hotel, you won't find the usual comfort zones of larger hotels. There is no lobby to speak of only a small seating area next to a very smallish breakfast room. There is no elevator and if you have some luggage, you will have... More

We stayed here for our second time and it is a brilliant place as a base to set off from. The Metro is three minutes away, restaurants and bars are great and nearby too. The hotel is clean and very safe.

First time in Paris and it was great! The hotel was clean, good neighborhood and not far from a number of attractions. I felt safe staying at the hotel and the service was amazing! One of the gentleman at the front desk was amazing! His names is Rossen and he actually made my trip amazing! He made numerous reccommendations and... More

Staying in Place d'Italie / Quartier Asiatique

Neighborhood Profile
Place d'Italie / Quartier Asiatique
Far off the beaten path, this part of Paris is a forgotten gem worth exploring. Avenue d’Ivry houses Europe's largest Chinatown with great Asian supermarkets and shops, and a thrilling atmosphere around Chinese New Year. Place d’Italie impresses onlookers as soon as they set their eyes on it. Not far, around La Butte aux Cailles, the streets suddenly imitate provincial France and you’ll feel like you’ve been transported. The beauty of these streets lies in their surprises around every twist and turn.
