We stayed here on the first 3 nights of our backpackers euro trip and to be honest it did the job. It's easy to get to via metro (Denfert Rochereau) and then a 5-7minute walk. The staff are friendly and helpful and the lobby is smart and clean. Our room was compact and the toilet was like a cupboard, but... More

My friend and I were looking for somewhere to stay centrally in Paris with good transport links for cheap, and we found Tipi. Good location between Gaite and Raspail, close to bars and cafes, friendly staff and clean room. Only problem was the bed, which sank in the middle, but for one night, was fine. Definitely one to consider...

Don't make the same mistake as I did and come here for a romantic weekend trip. It's more hostel than hotel level, apart from the fancy looking lobby. Good thing Paris as a city made up for this subpar hotel experience. Location is great though!

Initially I was a little apprehensive about staying at this hotel based on some of the reviews I had read. I thought it was incredibly cheap for the location, which is brilliant because myself and my boyfriend are students! We pushed our apprehension to one side because at the end of the day, we wanted to see Paris and simply... More

This hotel has a very good location on Rue Daguerre in Montparnasse, has direct links to the airports from Denfert Rochereau and is very close to Gare Monparnasse so it's very convenient for travelers visiting Paris or being in transit. Central Paris can be reached on foot after a beautiful walk through Montparnasse, Le Jardin du Luxembourg and Saint Germain.... More

This place is perfect for the following reasons; 1) Politeness of hotel staff, (although the guy in the morning was making a bit too much noise while I was trying to enjoy breakfast) 2) Location - it is in a street that has only pedestrian traffic and lots of patisseries and fruit shops and bakeries 3) Room was very quiet... Good accommodation option if you are Breakfast is extra (?10) and considering there are 3-4 boulangeries nearby where you could purchase a pastry or baguette for a couple euros - I don't believe it's worth it. Breakfast is served in the open lobby of the hotel and not in a specific room as such. Reception was attended at all times... More

Situated at the top end of Rue Daguerre, this little hotel delivers exactly what it says. It is clean, quiet, extremely comfortable, and incredible value for money. There was an issue with the TV in our room, the staff were extermely helpful in fixing the problem, and checked in the morning that everything was ok. The beds were coma-inducing in... More

We stayed here for one night to break up a long journey back to South America. It is close to a train station that will take you direct to the airport, is cheap and clean and has the basics that you will need for an overnight stay. The shower was great! The staff are helpful and friendly and you are... More

The hotel was very basic and old but it was clean and the bed was ok. The bathroom was too small but we survived. The best thing for us was the location; it is situated in a lively street where you can find restaurants, bars, shops, bakery, grocery etc. it was not very touristic, we even had a couple of... Staying in Montparnasse

Neighborhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the center of Paris this neighborhood has something for every hour of the day.
