I've stayed in many hotels all around Europe and this is by far one of the better ones, the poor reviews arent justified for this hotel and i suspect those that did leave a bad review have unrealistic standards, i loved the hotel, one tiny mishap was that my room was not ready when it said check in was available... We returned yesterday from a 4 day Paris break at the Mercure Bastille San Antoine. The hotel is situated in a busy suburb of the 12th area. There are plenty of bars and restaurants local to the hotel and we availed ourselves of these every evening after our sightseeing adventures. We walked a lot during our stay, though both the... I booked this hotel for a weekend as I was attending a conference and my Mum was staying with me to do some sight-seeing. It was very handy for the metro (Line 8) and the surrounding neighbourhood was nice. When we arrived, we got a fantastic welcome (after a 3 hours journey across Paris as the RER line was closed).... My partner booked this hotel for a romantic trip to Paris and it looked great on the website. Upon arrrival the hotel is a fair walk from Gare du Lyon station and is quite small from the outside. The inside could do with some refreshing as the decor is old and a bit tatty. Reception staff were helpful and friendly.... More

I stayed on the top floor in a room which has a balcony and is thus more expensive. What really put me off was the smell in the corridor as I walked out of the elevator. I expect anything above 3 stars to be well maintained and clean. The room in itself was fine, with nice furniture, and very small... More

I stayed here twice once as a preferred accor member and once without being preferred. They have preferred rooms, which are good, however the other rooms were pretty depressing, mainly just drab and soul less, however the preferred rooms are a bit bigger and the internet is better. The location is good there is a great food market opposite the... More

Quiet hotel, in a good location, with pleasant & helpful staff. Room was lovely, comfortable and clean. It was very cold in the room when we arrived however it got warm fairly quickly. Hotel is not far from the metro. Easy walking distance from the main road hence restaurants. We did not have breakfast at the hotel, we preferred a... More

The location is perfect, there are many things to do around Bastille, proper French street market nearby, loads of bars and restaurants. I loved that it felt very genuine, very close to metro too. The room was very tidy and perfect, the attention was exceptional, the receptionist really went out of her way to make us feel welcome and comfortable.... More

What can I say? Flawless. I stay there between 20th and 23rd Nov 2014. I had booked without really knowing the hotel or location. The room (privilege double) was classy, immaculate and very comfortable. The location was safe. The staff was courteous and helpful from check-in to checkout. One member of staff (Isabel) stood out for her helpfulness and professionalism.... More

We stayed at this hotel for a week over Christmas in the privilege room. The beds are very firm and pillows are either memory foam or thick and fluffy. The front desk service was amazing.
