Our flight had been cancelled during the Easter break due to a strike and our hotel we had been staying at in Disneyland was completely booked out so we decided to spend a night in Paris while we had the chance. We booked this hotel as it was the cheapest and was close to the Louvre. Don't expect much from... More

Dingy, tiny, narrow, with paper thin walls. We could hear people's passing gas, any noise in the next room. Location not bad but not great either. Read the reviews an avoid it. Or you will regret it. We did.

I stayed at the Hotel du Pont Neuf because I was desperate as I couldn't get into my preferred hotel for one night on my way through Paris. If you are looking for a cheap hotel that is very convenient to Chatelet Les Halles and a connection to Charles De Gaulle airport, then this fits the bill. But don't expect... More

The location of this hotel is absolutely fantastic, so close to everything! The facilities and standard of the rooms is what you would expect for the cheap price but overall it is a good place to stay! Would be improved by air con in the rooms and unfortunately there is no lift which can be a pain walking up the... More

Terrible place. We came, family of four, and found the rooms extremely unhygenic and full of bugs. Very unproffesional staff. Left at once to look for another hotel, but got charge for the rooms at this so called hotel. Cant say it enough: DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL !! They should not be allowed to stay in the business... Stayed here for one night because I was using air b&b and waere double booked. Our host booked us this "hotel" to make up for her mistake. I can not repeat enough DO NOT STAY HERE. First, my boyfriend found a used condom in the toilet. We had to return the hotel key to the front desk every time we... More

I'm all for mom and pop places, but the lack of organization and abysmal customer service makes this the worst place to stay in Paris. First off, the hotel handles all reservations with paper copies and hand written documents, so your reservation has a very high risk of being 'lost', as ours was, and conveniently found again when it comes... It was better to stay home! OK: it is near the most important places in Paris and the staff is nice ..but what a bad hotel! dark rooms, steep stairs, a bad smell, bathroom was about one square meter..and something of my clothes are gone from my closet! the worst experience I have had in my travel!

This is one to avoid at all cost. I was on the 4th floor, no lift and many stairs. There is no air con or fan. The room standard is appalling.. There is no TV, no electrical sockets, no shampoo or toiletries provided. Shower scum and hair in the drain and a dirty shower head. The shower was tiny with... More

Unclean hotel, they gave us a room in 5th floor and it was awful, there's no elevator and the room it's tiny!!! (I'm asian so go figure) Unfriendly staff specially the one at night!, no internet conection, the breakfast is very expensive and no good. The location is very good, near by big stores and bus stop and train station... More

Staying in Les Halles

Neighborhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
