Really enjoyed the 7 nights I spent in this hotel. The internet is difficult to get above the 2nd floor, but there is no problem getting a signal in the lobby, (I stayed on the 5th floor one week and on the 2nd floor another week) As a solo traveller, I booked a single room, which was quite small, but... We stayed in a double room; it was a very small and smelly (wet carpet?) but we left the windows open during the day so smell was more bearable. Staff was very nice and helpful. The location of the hotel is very good. The area is safe and clean.

The location is perfect: at the crossing of two boulevards, seconds away from RER-B (direct line to Charles de Gaulle airport), also there’s a bus stop just across the road to go to Gare Montparnasse. About 10 minutes walk to Sorbonne, Jardins de Luxembourg and maybe about 15-20 minutes total to Seine and Notre-Dame. The hotel itself is nice, clean,... More

I stayed here in May 2011. A week after I arrived home I received a call from my bank to advise me that my credit card had been skimmed. The last time I had used it was to pay for the hotel. I hadn't used it in months. I can only presume that it was skimmed at this hotel as... More

Clean but very small rooms, modernized bathroom (with clingy Euro shower curtain), bed comfortable enough, no a/c, and keeping the windows open at night means listening to very loud street traffic. Rooms facing the street should be avoided in the hot summer for this reason. Breakfast is an extra 10 Euros and is likely not worth it. Very close to... More

The Beauvoir is a typical small hotel/pension with clean rooms and a very convenient location right next to Port Royal station. You can see the train tracks but we didn't experience much noise from the trains. We're unlikely to go back though because for the price you pay, you can get something nicer in Paris. We stayed there for one... More

Excellent value for a hotel close to the centre of Paris. Rooms were very clean and the bathrooms were nicely renovated. Except for the odd slamming door in the hall, the hotel was very quiet and made for a restful sleep. If you just need an clean and quiet place to stay, this is the place for you.

I was pleasantly surprised with the hotel. Simple but well located hotel, near the Jardin du Luxembourg, at the end of the boulevard Saint Michel at boulevard Port Royal. Right in front of the legendary restaurant La Croserie des Lilas, on the other side of the avenue. Staff very attentive. I was at the hotel for a long season, between... More

We stayed here in late May and the two biggest problems we had with the hotel were: 1) The lumpy pillows - seemed like just chunks of foam stuffed in a pillowcase; and 2) Struggling to decide whether to try to sleep in a warm room or a noisy room - there was no AC and our room faced west... More

In room 540 on the top floor with a balcony. Rate it good as a 2 star. New bathroom. Comfortable bed. Lift. Good bakery and bistros around the corner. Opposite metro and train station. Direct link to Gare de Nord by bus (15 minutes). Friendly staff.
