I have just got back from a great four night stay at this hotel. Our room was fabulous, we had a superior room which was spacious- we even had a cute lounge area. The staff at this hotel were wonderful, very accommodating and went out of their way to help you. ( including letting us put some items in the... More

We stayed there for one night and it was a very good value, though I'm not sure I would stay there again. Pros: Good design overall with some nice common areas. While the rooms are typical of Paris--small and slightly cramped--they were clean and comfortable. The concierge was very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was included in the price of our... More

a really lovely stay at this hotel. Very friendly and welcoming staff, comfortable and clean rooms, great location. A touch on the expensive side but worth it (it is Paris after all...) Will definitely stay here again in the future.

Booked this hotel after reading all of the wonderful reviews, and was very disappointed. First, for the positive, the hotel was very clean, staff was friendly, and location is fabulous. I found their restaurant recommendations to be great, and on tourism issues the front desk was extremely helpful. Unfortunately, just too many problems. We booked 4 rooms total for 4... More

My wife and I spent 10 days in Paris staying at this excellent boutique hotel. The staff could not be more helpful and our room was beautiful and quietly situated. The location is perfect with a metro stop only metres away. Also plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby. The best hotel in Paris for the money!

The location of this hotel was perfect - around lots of great cafes, restaurants and very central for seeing the sights. The room was comfortable, staff were friendly and it was quiet at night. There minor flaws in the room's finishes, like stained carpet and chipped paint, but these were just minor distractions in an overall good stay.

Unpretentious and a quirky sort of home away from home is how I would describe this hotel. Great staff whom were very eager to give advise on where the best restaurants were locally. Superb location which is its main selling point. Rooms were a tad bit small as I stayed in a Club Room but then again that's just Paris... More

We had a good stay. Location was good. Building was secure, clean, attractive, and staff were very nice. Room was certainly small although perfectly formed. There wasn't a lot of space for two people and luggage, but we were not in it much so it didn't matter. The macaroons the hotel can provide were excellent. The breakfast area was clean... More

Top staff and atmosphere. We had 2 connecting rooms as a family with 2 children . Feeling of having your own Paris apartment.Location was very good. The rooms were very comfortable. Super comfortable beds.

I recently stayed at the hotel with my Mom - who is older. The concierge advised us to take room 42 which is a club room with a walk-in shower. As other reviewers have noted, its very convenient - the metro is right there and the academy where Gauguin learned to paint is right across the street. several famous cafes... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
