In a nutshell it is a small very well located hotel with a unique character. Not quite the full five star place but very close to that. Review based on a one night stay in January (background of spending 80+ nights per year in different hotels around the globe). Location: Due to late arrival I did not have much time... More

Highlights of our stay include: Location, ambiance and service. The hotel is located one block from the Vavin Métro stop, which serves the 4 line. The 4 runs directly to Gare de l'Est and Gare du Nord, so if you arrive in Paris by train the connection to the hotel is seamless. The website also gives excellent directions to the... More

Each time I come to Paris , I sleep here : For the charming staff, very attentive to my requests. For the very tastefully decoration that goes well with artistic atmosphere of the neighborhood. For the comfort of the beds and the delicious breakfast. And also for the tea room with my guilty pleasure the macaroons !!!

Spent our 25th anniversary at this boutique hotel based on a recommendation from a cousin in the industry. It was wonderful. Cosy and comfortable. We only slept there as we were out to see as many sights as possible. This was easy as the hotel is very close to a Metro hub. Don't miss Frenchies restaurant while in Paris.

We had a great 4 night stay here in June 2015. We were looking for an affordable option that would be high quality. My wife had previously stayed here so we thought we would try it again. The location worked for us- it is not overly central, but we prefer being a little bit away from the action. That said,... More

We really loved this hotel. We were there for four nights and found the room comfortable and very nicely decorated. It was small, but that was expected for a room in Paris. It truly felt like a boutique hotel with all the little touches. I especially loved the tub, which was a great way to relax after a long day... More

We were a family of 3 siblings in our 60s and this hotel was perfect for our stay in Paris. It was small but the rooms were large enough for a 4 day stay. we requested rooms together and they came though. It was very European and nothing like some of the large American Hotels. We felt as though we... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
