Our family group of 5 stayed at Hotel Le 20 Prieure from 12/28 - 1/3/15. We had 2 double rooms- the same corner room on the second, third, fourth floors. (The hotel offers different room layouts, but only one layout/floor.) There is an elevator that can fit 6 adults comfortably, as well as a circular staircase that goes to all... More

We recently spent 3 nights in this hotel in Paris. The room was clean and spacious enough (you don't spend much time in your hotel room anyway when visiting this fantastic city!). Plenty of nice bakeries or places to eat within a 10min walk. Price per night was pretty good for Paris. Would definitely stay here again!

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights in the summer. It's a small and cosy hotel with young, friendly, helpful and English speaking reception. We didn't include breakfast in our booking, but instead went out for a nice breakfast at one of the local patisseries around the corner (when exiting the hotel turn left, take the first right... I spent just over a week in Paris, and while I considered renting an apartment for myself, I decided that I wanted a real bed (instead of a futon), and I needed to be able to talk to someone if something came up. I had been to this area (11e arrondissement) on previous visits but had never stayed there. This... More

I was in Paris for 3 days for work. I have not been since I was young so not knowing the area or the hotel I picked it based on reviews and price. The hotel is very clean and nicely updated and modern. The staff was friendly and helpful. I had brought earplugs for the street noise but they were... More

A recent trip to London afforded me the opportunity for a quick one-night trip to Paris and I ended up booking this hotel about 12 hours before my arrival. Upon arrival in Paris, I wanted to drop my backpack off, but the hotel had no record of my reservation. You see, their wifi/internet was down from 10pm the evening before,... More

Dear Sir, Thank you for your attention, it's very kind of you to write this comment on our page. We are still very sorry about "this WIFI problem". As we already told you it was a problem on the street, but we understood that is a big inconvenience for a foreign traveller. That is why we do our best to... More

A wonderful modern hotel, well presented, clean and comfortable. Rooms were cleaned daily , fresh towels were provided daily and fresh water supplied daily. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. A great location very close to the metro, loads of cafés, bars and restaurants. I would definitely recommend it to my family and friends and would return again.

The staff was very helpful and pleasant, the room was spotless and seemed recently renovated, the beds were fairy comfortable (very firm), and the location was convenient to public transportation and restaurants. The windows opened, which was nice, and we even had a little balcony. The room is small, but that is normal for Paris. Our family had two rooms;... More

Nice hotel in a good area, really close to two different metro stations (Oberkampf and Republique); clean and modern rooms; extremely kind staff. Breakfast not included, a little bit expensive. Absolutely suggested!

Staying in Bastille / Oberkampf

Neighborhood Profile
Bastille / Oberkampf
Bastille and Oberkampf are lively parts of town made for entertainment. During the day rows of unassuming bars welcome customers for a bite or a drink, but it’s at night this area really comes to life. Students and young professionals fill the busy bars around Bastille and Oberkampf. At Place de la Bastille, crowds flock to the Opéra Bastille in the evening and groups wait for coveted tickets during the day. Towards Republique, skateboarders practice their tricks while others chill out at the square. If you’re looking for late-night revelry, this is your neighborhood.
