I love Marais House when I see it on the internet. But I love it even more after three nights stay at Marais House last week. It is our first trip to Paris. Marais House is definitely a wonderful place to discover Paris. Yann is a very helpful host. His house is very beautiful and interesting. The room we had... More

Beautiful bed and breakfast in the heart of Marais, only minutes away from Centre Pompidou. Rooms are very tastefully decorated and huge! A rare thing in Paris. The owner is very nice and helpful. For breakfast I would recommend going to one of the many cafes near by.

If you are fortunate enough to realize that the best part of a travel experience is who you encounter along the way - Marais House is for you. Never mind that its fabulously decorated with layer upon layer of indulgence & that it is located in the wonderful Marais district. Walking distance to everything you must see while in Paris... Yann, well we made it home... I can not thank you for all the help and yes you were right the best restaurant in Istanbul is on top of the spice market. Delores and my self had a blast with you and the pups and you helped make my birthday one of the best. Yann thank you so much for... More

Thank you, it was a great pleasure having you stay at the house. Am glad you enjoyed the restaurant at the spice bazaar, food in Turkey is very good in general, but this restaurant and it's historical ties to the blue mosque is a very special place indeed. Glad all went well on your second leg of your trip. More

I find traveling to Paris always a bit of a nuisance because hotels and either too expensive, located in remote areas, their rooms are tiny, service is terrible, or all the above (unless you are planning to spend twice what you would in London or New York). So when a trip to Paris comes up, I find myself searching hotel... More

Management response:

I have always been amazed at how guests take the time off their obviously busy schedules in having the kindness in witting about their positive experiences. It indeed shows how very fortunate we are in the overwhelming majority of our guests, it is sad to hear of bad experiences some to have in Paris, so unnecessary and uncalled for, as... More

I have just spent 6 nights here - and chose it as I wanted something uniquely Parisian. And that it definitely is! I was looking for an apartment to rent but came across this place & happily gave it a go. The location is superb - it is not a tourist trap area & there are so many friendly local... More

Thank you for the positively of this post. Indeed there are certain IPADS that do not seem to pick up the WIFI signal, I have been informed by our server that those who do not pick up the WIFI need to be updated by the owners, I know little about this. there are no problems with laptops as we have... The Marais house takes you back in time; You live in the heart of Paris, litterally 10 steps away from the Beaubourg modern art museum, but like in a time capsule, shielded from the noise and hectic pace of the city. Yann the owner is a wonderful man, affable, and the first morning, we almost forgot to start our visit... More

To be honest I was really disappointed with my stay at the Marais house. The location is fantastic since it is very central and on a beautiful quiet street. I feel the house would of been amazing once but it now lacks luster and has become very dark and dusty. The owner was a lovely man to welcomed us into... More

I greeted this person who arrived in a most irate state, showed her to the room and offered to have tea in the drawing room before her going out for to dinner. Upon having tea she complained bitterly about being so very late, I asked if her plane had been delayed? She explained that it had been on schedule but... More

Thank you Yann. Loved the location so discrete, loved the house, the bedroom was so quiet and comfortable very spacious and beautifully appointed . The bed was blissful. Breakfast was perfect and at a very civilized hour. Thank you again Yann for the use of your beautiful home.

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
