Conveniently located near lots of shops, restaurants, cafes and bars. Supermarkets near by as well. The staff is extremely friendly. The young lady who checked us in is great. We had a single room which was pretty small but big enough. I’m unsure if this is unique to this hotel or more places are like this but the toilet is... More

The room was very small and uncomfortable. you don't have a power outlet near the bed , actually you have only one. For wifi I had to register to some site in every 24 hours. And The shower was very poor I think it was broke , because I had to hold the shower faucet that the water will fall... More

We've just returned from a 3 day stay in Paris for our daughter's 18th birthday and were delighted with the hotel Victoria Chatelet. Price was very reasonable, breakfast good and rooms/bathrooms comfortable and clean. Best of all was the friendly and helpful staff, from cleaners to reception, all of whom made us feel very welcome. Would like to mention Joceline... More

We stayed 2 nights in hotel victoria and could not have been happier with the location, comfort, price and service. 2 minutes from Chatelet des Halles makes makes it an ideal choice to have everything you need for a trip to Paris. We stayed in room 41- a delux room at the top of the hotel which had ample space... More

Four of us stayed here for about a week. It was recommended to us by a friend who lived part time in Paris and put his family up here as it was nearby and reasonably priced. It is basic but so is the price. The rooms seemed to vary considerably in size although I might be wrong about this. The... More

If you like to visit the City of Paris. Close to the Metro Station châtelet, where many Lines meet. Nice Rooms, friendly Service. They have only just renovated Several Rooms and Bathrooms. We recommend the Rooms on fourth floor ( under the Roof)

We returned to this hotel after staying here in 2009. The street has become a lot more built up, with new bars and restaurants which also bring extra noise outside. We stayed for 3 nights but didn't manage a lie in any morning due to early morning noise outside, from drunks to bin men, to bottle collectors and a hotel... More

I stayed at this hotel with friends after doing an extensive search on hotels in Paris. My friends had stayed here before and on their recommendation we chose this hotel and I am so pleased that we did. The location of this hotel cannot be beaten. It is right beside the Chatelet metro station which has good connections to most... More

We spent 3 nights in this hotel two weeks ago. It is excellent value for money and we choose to return to it (we stayed here last year as well) Perfect location at the Chatelet - gorgeous restaurants nearby, and we managed to grab some tickets for the Theatre next door (Don Quixote) by the Vienna Ballet and Orchestra! Rooms... More

Staying in Les Halles

Neighborhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
