I booked this hotel for 3 nights via hotles.com where i received a confirmation. I called the hotel and confirmed my reservation however on arriving, the hotel allowed me to stay the first night and said my card was declined and that thay have booked me in a new hotel. I never quite understood why i was allowed to stay... More

I booked and paid for this Hotel in March 2014 to take my girlfriend on a romantic trip to Paris. On numerous occasions there was contact between myself and the Hotel as they told me i had not paid. I sent written proof to show i had paid and was told all was fine, then on the morning i was... More

Pros: Reception was friendly and even though we had a problem with our credit card, they kept the room for us in good faith. The room was clean, with nice complimentary herbal teas. We left our bags and went wandering in the morning after check-out. Upon return, housekeeping returned a couple of things we'd left in the room. Cons: We... More

Loved it - rooms small but comfy. Kettle provided with teas without milk e.g. Vervaine, chamomile much appreciated. Shower/bath spotless beds comfy and it was really quiet. The POS machine did not work with my cards so useful to pay cash. What made it for us was finding the Rubis cafe a short walk away where we had the BEST... More

We are just back from a four night stay at the Hotel Agenor, and we found it to be a great little place and a good value. Yes the rooms are small, but really, it's Paris so why hang around a hotel room. The beds and furnishings are good quality and new. Reasonably firm mattress. Everything was very clean and... More

We (me+wife) stayed at this hotel for 4 nights this autumn, and tried to choose the best value for money. Our room, 41 (on the top floor) was ready for us, however the window curtain was hanging on a thread and at first i really thought it's gonna fall on my head if i try to open the window. Luckily... We spent five nights at the Hotel Agenor and it was a great base to explore Paris. Warm smiling welcome from very helpful reception staff who were wonderful helping us to plan each day. Close to transport, great bars and cafes nearby, excellent value for money. We ate breakfast at nearby bars along with the locals. Great!

Paris was my second destination with my boyfriend for our europe trip. This hotel has small but rather clean and nice rooms, the bathrooms are nice as well but also small. However, there were some issues upon arriving there. 1, our hotel room wasn't ready for us when we arrived (and we came way past check-in time), so the person... More

Opted for this hotel because of its proximity to Montparnesse station and lots of cafe and eating out places with different cuisine all in walking distance. Since the station was really close, I could take metro to virtually anywhere in the city. It wasn't difficult to find and had decent room for the price charged. Person at the reception became... I stayed at this hotel with my Aunt for five days. The location was perfect- close to the train station, places to eat, bakeries, cafes, shops, at the Metro. We walked to the Eiffel Tower the first day, though that was quite a hike there and back. For later trips to Paris central, we could get there in 10-15 minutes... More

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighborhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the center of Paris this neighborhood has something for every hour of the day.
