The room they gave us was on the ground floor, it was always noisy and dusty. The atmosphere in the hotel is completely french on the good side of it. Due to many room specialities I'd recommend only lovers to visit this hotel.

I love Hotel Amour and always retrun each time I visit the city. The patrons are generally achingly cool and great for people-watching. The back terrace is a great spot for lunch in the summer and the steaks and traditional French food served in the restaurant each night is wonderful.

Awesome spot for the fashion types to flock. Saw two movie stars enjoying themselves on the back patio. My wife and I enjoyed the best eggs Benedict with bacon we ever tasted. A must visit. Didn't stay at the hotel but heard it is quite nice,

Amazingly helpful waitress seated us in the garden/conservatory for dinner which was intimate, great service and delicious French food. Everything for every budget. Our hotel made a booking but they couldn't find it and accommodated us anyway. Innovative decore and a great place to smooch;)

I actually won this trip to Paris as a prize, so I had no hand in choosing the hotel. After reading reviews and visiting the website, I was extremely nervous about the accommodations. I will be frank, I thought I was going to be staying in some kind of a brothel - as most of the photos I had seen... More

Great location, honest and friendly staff, large room - would definitely stay again. The restaurant is also well worth a visit. Very easy access to Saint-Georges or Pigalle Metro stations, as well as a short walk to Sacre-Coeur.

Spent a week over the Christmas vacation. A hotel that promises to tantalize your senses and to disconnect you from the modern tempo of a major city. The whole place is different, the mickey mouse on the reception desk is an indication of what to expect. We stayed in two rooms. The first was the standard double room. Interior design... More

We had a week-day lunch in the restaurant of the Hotel Amour and it was good and fast - prices are quite high though. We had two salads and water and ended up 35 euros lighter. The crowd is a mixture of young bohemien locals and business people.

Despite warnings that older people might find the style of Amour off-putting , this over sixty-year-old found found it charming and exceptionally comfortable. Rooms not as small as many in more expensive hotels where I've stayed in Paris and very clean. Staff extremely helpful and warm. Hotel restaurant, which is frequented by locals as well as guests, was a real... More

We stayed at this hotel recently and loved the unique experience ,it was totally hip in a non pretentious way and the staff were really quite cool. It is not complete luxury and doesn't pretend to be either. The restaurant and bar are always pumping with locals and tourists so it's definitely what you would call lively. The food in the... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
