My husband and I and a group of 8 friends stayed 5 nights last week. It was a great place to stay with comfortable beds and a clean room. The hotel is in a terrific location just one block away from Luxembourg Park and walking distance to many historical sites. The hotel staff were all friendly and helpful. I highly... More

I stayed in this hotel 3 years ago, and liked it very much. Small but nice rooms and a good price for them. Was afraid to have credit card problems, but apparently they changed the booking website and I had no problem at all. The rooms have been remodeled and updated and though tiny, they are very comfortable. First time... More

This hotel is located in the Latin Quarter of Paris.....very French. Many of the "tourist" sights are within walking distance. Don't miss the nearby Luxembourg Gardens. The Eiffel Tower, Sacre Coeur and the Arc de Triomphe are easily accessed by public transportation. There was someone at the desk 24 hours a day.....and each person had a wonderful personality! They were... More

Stayed there for five days and only have good things to say. Although the room is small, it is not small that you can't even open you luggage and walk. The bed is comfortable, LCD TV, small closet and desk and a spare pillow. The bathroom is small too but clean and looks renovated. It has plenty of hot water... More

Stayed here recently as part of a short break and was delighted with every aspect of the stay. We were looking for somewhere on a budget in a good location, and this delivered on every front. The location was just perfect, so many attractions within walking distance and a very short walk from Luxembourg train station, so easily accessible from... More

For a few days in Paris this is an ideal hotel. Nothing romantic 19the century with sweeping staircases, but you'll find that elsewhere in the city. Clean & modern, the rooms at the side of the hotel are quiet and have a view (if one leans out of the window) towards the Palais de Luxembourg. The location is perfect :... More

Because I have read some people reported credit card problems, I decided to write this review. I have reserved Hotel Michelet Odeon thru there web site in March 2015. I was worried and checked credit card charges every day, but no suspicious activity. hotel did not charge my credit card. To make matter more complicated, one month later in April,... More

Stayed here for 5 nights. It was a nice stay. The stay was helpful and the location was fine. it was a short walk to most of the historic sights in Paris. Note that breakfast is provided, but it is not free. It is actually 14euros for each day that you have breakfast. We didn't know that. Anyway, nice hotel,... More

You cannot find a better hotel in this area, at this price! Recently renovated, it's charming and quaint and sufficient. The location in Saint Germain puts you right in the heart of the "Must Dos" in Paris. We walked to all attractions and stopped along the way to cafes and shops, which is a great way to explore Paris. The... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
