For a few days in Paris this is an ideal hotel. Nothing romantic 19the century with sweeping staircases, but you'll find that elsewhere in the city. Clean & modern, the rooms at the side of the hotel are quiet and have a view (if one leans out of the window) towards the Palais de Luxembourg. The location is perfect :... More

Because I have read some people reported credit card problems, I decided to write this review. I have reserved Hotel Michelet Odeon thru there web site in March 2015. I was worried and checked credit card charges every day, but no suspicious activity. hotel did not charge my credit card. To make matter more complicated, one month later in April,... More

Stayed here for 5 nights. It was a nice stay. The stay was helpful and the location was fine. it was a short walk to most of the historic sights in Paris. Note that breakfast is provided, but it is not free. It is actually 14euros for each day that you have breakfast. We didn't know that. Anyway, nice hotel,... More

we stayed here on the Saturday night of our weekend stay in Paris. The city centre location was great with easy access to the metro and comfortable walking distance for Notre Dame, River Seine etc, We flew into Orly Saturday morning and it was quick and simple to get to the hotel - Orlyval shuttle/RER train to Luxembourg/short walk through... You cannot find a better hotel in this area, at this price! Recently renovated, it's charming and quaint and sufficient. The location in Saint Germain puts you right in the heart of the "Must Dos" in Paris. We walked to all attractions and stopped along the way to cafes and shops, which is a great way to explore Paris. The... More

My husband and I brought our two teenage daughters to Paris last summer. The Hotel Michelin Odeon was the perfect place for our stay. They have a family room at a very reasonable rate. The room is on the main floor, just a few steps up from the lobby. There are actually two connecting rooms, one with a double bed... More

A friend who lived in Paris for many years recommended this hotel. It was our first visit to Paris and we were aware that hotel rooms are tiny. Room is indeed small, though good enough for two people. However the bed was smaller than we were used to and if you moved too close to the edge you'd fall on... More

Within a few days of booking at this hotel through parishotels.com and giving both parishotels.com and the hotel my credit card number, my card was charged with a number of fraudulent transactions that required me to cancel my card and has taken several months to put right. When I advised the front desk that I was concerned someone at the... More

Dear Customers, We sincerely regret the inconvenience that some of you have had through the booking on-line. Be aware that we had to outsource the booking online. It is mandatory for small hotels like us. Therefore, when you "click" on booking online you were automatically redirected to a web host that made the connection between our availabilities and requests. Therefore,... More

I was concerned about the credit card fraud cases in previous reviews. I did not have any trouble but enjoyed hospitality of the helpful staff. My Room was spacious (mine was on the 5th floor). Since the hotel did not have an air condition but a fan, the room was lack of air flow. You can imagine how humid it... More

We booked the 'appartement' for my husband and I and our 2 children. From the website we were led to believe that we would be at the top of the hotel in a very spacious apartment. Upon arrival we were allocated a room just behind the lobby. There were two rooms but they were very small and the double bed... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
