Booked with Booking.com we stayed for one night on our way to Milan and paid €120 euro excluding breakfast. This was €100 less than the rack rate advertised behind reception. Breakfast was an additional €10 each and comprised of croissant, pastries, bread, yoghurts, cereal etc. The hotel is perfectly placed for the train station, being within only a few minutes walk... The hotel is conveniently located (short walk from Gare de Lyon), and had everything I needed for my short stay in Paris. The room was quite small, but that's not a problem when you are walking the whole day. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the shower was perfect. There is no minibar but a well assorted machine downstairs (only... More

Rooms are very quiet even in the central Paris. Hot and strong shower. Location is near Gare de Lyon and a local market. Easy to find. Lift is available to bring heavy baggage and you can leave to keep them after check-out for a while.

By far, the most important advantage is its location - a short walk from Gare de Lyon, a crucial point to access the subway to almost all Paris attractions, also the RER for the rest, and also the airport bus (very important for us while carrying a lot of luggage :) Clean, with helpful staff, and almost without wifi -... A small personal hotel, run by normal people, just 100 yards from Gare de Lyon. This is an ideal low cost hotel for 1-2 nights, with small but tastefully furnished rooms. Style is towards Parisian hotels and homes of the 1980s, long drapes, dark brown corridors, marble bathrooms. Décor is actually new or well renovated, rooms very clean, and staff... More

This hotel is close to Gare de Lyon so there is easy access to the national railway and metro system. The hotel is clean. The room we occupied was small but was adequate for our needs. A kettle is provided but only herbal teas. TV,hairdryer air on. Opening window. There is a lift from the ground floor but to access... More

I stayed in this hotel for three nights. I really appreciated its being next to the biggest train station in Paris and its being really affordable. The room was tiny but clean and comfortable, the only problem I experienced was a small leak in the shower. The bed was very comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. All in all,... More

The hotel is not that bad, but surrounded by massage salons, sex shops... so as being by myself in this area, I was not feeling that comfortable. PLUS, there is a free porn TV channel in the hotel rooms... Creepy. The room itself was OK but not great, with a stain on the floor, and a few things were broken.... More

Hotel Viator is located in a very central area, close to bastille and gare du lyon. The room was quite big (according to Parisian standards), was cosy and had a very clean bathroom. Staff in the hotel was very friendly. The breakfast was sufficient. Compliments for the orange juice with pulp, which was a lot better than wat you normally... More

In the middle of our visit to France, passing through Paris on our way from Brittany to Provence, we needed a place to stay near Gare de Lyon so we could catch our early train to Avignon. And we wanted to keep the price reasonable. The Viator was perfect for our needs. It's not fancy, but it was very functional... More
