Filthiest hotel I have ever been. Ugly and depressive too. Should be closed down by public health authorities. Hair everywhere in the room. Sheets not even large enough to cover the mattress. Holes in the linens. The space was so limited that I was jumping from the bed straight to bathroom. Almost ruined my holidays in Paris.

I actually visited in June 2014 but cannot select that long back. This is the worst hotel i ve ever stayed in. Filthy (huge ball of hair in the shower), awful beds (shirt sheets with holes) and the breakfast is a piece of bread with jam served at the desk of the reception. Avoid even if offered for free. I can't stress enough how I love straightforward accommodation that is able to provide me the basic necessities in travel life. The location is very good, 2nd arrondisement. Within walking distance from Metro stations. If you are even healthy enough, you can walk from the hotel to the Garu de Nord, Sacre coeur and Louvre Museum. You just really need... More

Coming to Paris through Paris Gare de Lyon to the hotel is pretty easy. Just take the Metro and drop at Bonne Nouvel and a 10 minutes walk and there you see this hotel. This is conveniently located in the center where you don't have to worry about night life, food and grocery, it's literally in the center of a... More

The only thing that bothers me is the slow & unstable internet wifi connection. Overall the hotel is near to metro station, supermarkets, cafes and also halal restaurant. There is no proper place for breakfast. Either you can have your breakfast at a table & sofa in front of the check in counter or you can bring it to your... More

This is a great little hotel if you are on a tight budget in Paris (where most hotels seem to cost an arm and a leg). The room was spacious and is made up every day, and the bed was quite comfy. The breakfast is basic; a baguette with jam and tea/coffee but its a good way to start the... More

Pleasantly suprised by the hotel! Great location - particularly convenient if you arrive at the Gare du Nord station for Eurostar trains. There are plenty of eating options around, a supermarket right next door, and a wonderful bakery/cafe opposite that sells delicious croissants and chocolate pastries! It is also only a couple of minutes of walk away from a metro... More

Paris was our first stop on our Interrailing trip this summer and we stayed at 'Hotel Des Boulevards' for 2 nights at the end of June. Although the room was basic and we had shared bathroom facilities, it was all we needed for our short stay in the city. Having stayed in Paris before, this was most definitely the best... More

I travelled to Paris with my son aged 8 and I am only 26, so quite daunting. When we arrived at this hotel I felt completely safe. The neighbourhood is wonderful and felt very safe, even when we were returning late at night using the Metro. The hotel is wonderful, a real gem. Its hidden away on a back street.... More

I stayed here at the weekend with a friend, and it's okay but not as good as I expected for €95. My friend and I just wanted somewhere basic and comfortable in the right part of Paris - which this is - but I can't say it's great value for money, and if I was there for a romantic weekend... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
