Pleasantly suprised by the hotel! Great location - particularly convenient if you arrive at the Gare du Nord station for Eurostar trains. There are plenty of eating options around, a supermarket right next door, and a wonderful bakery/cafe opposite that sells delicious croissants and chocolate pastries! It is also only a couple of minutes of walk away from a metro... More

Paris was our first stop on our Interrailing trip this summer and we stayed at 'Hotel Des Boulevards' for 2 nights at the end of June. Although the room was basic and we had shared bathroom facilities, it was all we needed for our short stay in the city. Having stayed in Paris before, this was most definitely the best... More

I travelled to Paris with my son aged 8 and I am only 26, so quite daunting. When we arrived at this hotel I felt completely safe. The neighbourhood is wonderful and felt very safe, even when we were returning late at night using the Metro. The hotel is wonderful, a real gem. Its hidden away on a back street.... More

I stayed here at the weekend with a friend, and it's okay but not as good as I expected for €95. My friend and I just wanted somewhere basic and comfortable in the right part of Paris - which this is - but I can't say it's great value for money, and if I was there for a romantic weekend... More

Although the location is dairly good the hotel is more like the most basic hostel ever seen. Unfortunately we had a room without a shower or toilet and the communal shower down the hall with the toilet in was the size of a broom cupboard. Room just fitted a bed in, sink and dodgy lights. The electric blew when I... More

If you are looking for a very basic budget hotel to drop your luggage off in a safe place and explore Paris all day and night, and then come back and crash this hotel is great! The best part about this hotel is the location! It's right next to a metro station, 7 min train ride to the Eiffel Tower.... More

I stayed at Hotel Des Boulevards for three nights in July 2013 and wasn't a pleasant experience at all. The lady at the front desk tried to sell us a shared taxi transfer back to Orly airport which was more expensive then us catching a cab of our own. (Orly airport is only 20-30min away) OMG, she got so mad... More

My friends and I had a double room with an extra bed. There was enough space for our luggage as well. The only problem was that our room was on the fifth floor and no elevator and we had heavy luggage. It is very close to a metro station and is about 20 or less minutes walking to the opera.... More

Really low-key basic hotel, a bit scruffy, but tidy. Upsides free WiFi and location near Bonne Nouvelle metro station and also low price. Really small bathroom and very boring room. Breakfast included in the price was a joke: coffee and piece of baguette to be eaten in a lobby sofa.

My 18 year old daughter & I stayed here for 3 nights in January 2013. We had a double en~suite room. The room was very small, but we just use it as a base, so that's not a problem, the bathroom facilities were very small, the shower was great, but honestly as a size 14, I'm thinking someone much bigger... Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
