Mistral is a small hotel, located in Montparnasse, quite close to Gaité station and to some tourist-favorite places, like the Lafayette Galleries and Boulevard de les Invalides. It is also close to the Garé-Montparnasse bus stop, which is very helpful if you're coming from the airports. The hotel itself is charming and has a great staff, but the rooms are... More

Finding decent and affordable accommodation in any European City is always difficult, especially Paris, But the Hotel Mistral is a little gem, that you almost want to keep to yourself, it's unique in that it is privately owned and not part of some chain, the owners are delightful and along with their great staff make you feel like you're staying... This hotel is very well located for the Montparnasse area near good transport for metro, RER and trains from Gare du Montparnasse. The price is fantastic for small but well appointed rooms with a clean modern look. The rooms have A/C and a small fridge. The bathroom is a good size for a 3 star Paris hotel. This is now... More

We stayed here for two nights in the super hot July, and we were incredibly happy with our choice! It is super well located (very close to Metro, and with plenty of shops and cafees nearby as well), the room (5tj floor - with elevator!) was perfectly well-airconditioned and delightfully clean and light, as well as the bathroom. This was... More

we chose the Mistral much as we chose any hotel when we travel and that is trying to find the best relationship between price and trip advisor rankings. the Mistral was an easy choice for us as we were looking for a family room (4 people) for 3 nights and the rate for July was tremendous and the overall ranking... The hotel is very well located, in a quiet street at a walking distance from the Montparnasse station. Lots of restaurants in the area (rue de la Gaite). Rooms are very well decorated and clean. The breakfast is good, although a bit expensive - as always in Paris. The staff is very nice and helpful.

Stayed 2 nights here and will stay again. It has comfortable rooms with decent bathroom, good location (especially for Gare Montparnasse), and one of the best French breakfasts we have experienced. The staff were helpful and unobtrusive.

Location is perfect. 5 minutes walk from metro Gaite and many restaurants are near by. Room is very clean and bathroom is cleaner. Our room on 5th floor has nice view of lovely patio. Staffs were kind and friendly and what else you are expecting ? We enjoyed 7 nights stay. Room is smallish but all Paris hotels are.

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighborhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the center of Paris this neighborhood has something for every hour of the day.
