A two-day stay in May 2015, during a week-end. Very pleasant and clean hotel with nice staff. Quiet environment. Strategically positioned in the Montparnasse area. Small but full of light room. Well maintained outfit. The hotel has a small and very pleasant courtyard, for breakfast and relax. I will certainly come back into this hotel, which I am happy to... More

This was such a lovely hotel, the room was lovely, clean and bright. Was in a great location, no noise but close to cafe, bars and metro. The staff were so nice and welcoming, couldn't do enough for you. The breakfast was lovely, a great selection, very fresh. I would highly recommend this hotel and can't wait to return.

Dear Guest, Thank you for this nice comment after your recent stay with us in Paris. Being located in the historical Montparnasse area and close to the Gaité metro station, it is indeed very easy to access both airports and most of the Parisian sites from the hotel. The hotel Mistral has been entirely renovated a year ago and a... More

A last minute booking and I wanted to be close to Montparnasse coming from the Pullman hotel, I was looking for something more intimate. The Mistral turned out to be just that - simple but wonderfully convenient. The location is hard to beat - in a very quiet street right next to the buzz of Montparnasse. The staff is personable... A very lovely and comfortable butique hotel with a little garden. Quiet location, its very convenient to the metro (station Gaite 5 min walk-metro no.13, and Montparnasse Bienvenue 7 min walk- metro no.4,6,12,13). Surroundings are quite busy and eating option are good. Very cordial and helpfull staff, suggested good restaurants in the area (italian restaurant up the street and for... More

The room I stayed in was small but very clean. However the downside was the mirror that was attached to the bathroom door. Every time I had to put my makeup on or look at the mirror I had to open the bathroom door and hold it with something.Had the mirror been attached to the wall by the bed it... More

The hotel has been recently refurbished with great taste. Rooms and bathrooms are quite big for french standards. Even though we our rooms was on the ground floor facing the street, we could hear barely any noise. A very nice, small hotel in a quiet street, but nevertheless close to both the Montparnasse-rue Gaité hype and the rue Daguerre area with many restaurants of all styles and cuisines not yet full of tourists. Nearby there are several Metro and Bus lines providing easy access to the entire city. Our hotel room was small but had an adequate... More

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighborhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the center of Paris this neighborhood has something for every hour of the day.
