This conveniently located hotel is warm and comfortable with a friendly atmosphere, The rooms are a normal Parisian sized, which means a bit small, but they are clean and nicely decorated. Previous occupants include Jean Paul Satre and Simone de Beauvoir, I have stayed here twice so far but not yet had any brilliant philosophical inspiration. I obviously need to... More

A very lovely and comfortable hotel with a little garden. The breakfast buffet was good. Reception staff are generally friendly and helpful. From the hotel, it is short stroll to the theatres and restaurants nearby. Just 7 minuntes' stroll, it is so convenient to reach Gare Montparnasse. Travellers need no cabs or metros to reach this railway station. A highly... More

We had a room to the garden side. The room was small but very nice, breakfast is delicious, very welcoming service, lot's of restaurants and small shops in the surrounding, good price. The hotel could also have 4 stars.

It is wonderful that you still could find this kind of hotels, where the main target of their staff is to give the best treatment to their guests. The hotel are located in the heard of Monpartnasse, and the facilities are really clean, nice and comfortable. Absolutely recommend hotel.

Hotel Mistral is nearest to Metro Station Gaite. Its rooms are little and nothing fancy, but they are clean, the people at the reception are very warm and helpful. The Breakfast is comprehensive. 'Rochereau Denfert' station is 10-12 minutes walk and can get you a direct metro to CDG airport. A little walk away from the hotel towards "Gare Montparnasse",... More

We found this hotel to be quite well located in terms of easy Metro and CDG connections. It is not the most glamorous Parisian hotel but very efficient and compact layout. I would say that everything is at the bare minimum in terms of sizes but it is quite acceptable depending on the price. The standard room is just large... More

First of all you have to climb 5 steps with your luggages. NOBODY will help you. I paid more than US$200,00 for a ridiculously small room, with no amenities, where I could hardly open my middle size suitcase and I was woke up each time my neighbors were leaving their room, and slammed their door. Elevator very small. View on... More

It's usually a pleasure for us to read comments from our guests after their stay. But, that time, not... When we decided two years ago to completely renovate our hotel and on that occasion to increase the level of quality and service, it was a big challenge for us. We did realize huge changes to the building structure, creating a... More

Just stayed here on business. Easy to get to and close (2 min walk) to Gaite metro.Friendly staff at reception and English speaking. Rooms nicely done in crisp clean white as are the bathrooms. Aircon was welcome as was free wifi. Rooms small but not as small as some in Paris. Good selection for breakfast but some eggs and bacon... More

Staff were exceptionally helpful, room was lovely, breakfast was expensive but was very good with a selection for every palette. Nearer Gaite metro than Montparnasse, plenty of nice resturants nearby. Can get into Paris very easily from here. A very reasonable price suitible for all tastes. Train line ran underneath our room but we were on the ground floor in... More

Mistral is a small hotel, located in Montparnasse, quite close to Gaité station and to some tourist-favorite places, like the Lafayette Galleries and Boulevard de les Invalides. It is also close to the Garé-Montparnasse bus stop, which is very helpful if you're coming from the airports. The hotel itself is charming and has a great staff, but the rooms are... More

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighborhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the center of Paris this neighborhood has something for every hour of the day.
