This was, without question, the best little find in Paris, and will remain to be for a very long time. The staff could not have been more polite or helpful, and it was a delight to stay with them. Being in the travel industry, Paris can be a bit of a mystery for hotels, however, this will be at the... More

We stayed for 2 nights at this hotel. We were welcomed by a lovely man on our arrival. Our room was really nice and was lovely and quiet as it was on the back. The hotel is in a great location, a short walk from the metro and also close to many bars and restaurants. Definitely hope to return here... More

We had a comfortable and fantastic stay in cool Montmartre. The room was clean and comfortable with air conditioning and windows which overlooked a courtyard. We were adjacent to apartments where the locals live and it was lovely to see them going about their days. Ginger cats in the windows, families eating outside, someone practicing their guitar. It was remarkably... More

This superb little hotel was a reason to join TripAdvisor and write a glowing review. Enough said? Great location, down a little side street just a stones throw from the Moulin Rouge and a short walk to the Sacre Coeur. Easy taxi distance (11 euros) from the Gare du Nord. It has all the feel and charm of a family... More

This is the fourth time we have been there and, although it's not in one of the very chic areas of Paris, it's a beautiful, clean and comfortable hotel. The staff are all extremely helpful, pleasant and friendly. We're definitely looking forward to our next visit.

It's not easy finding a good hotel in Paris on a budget, this is definitely a good catch. booking in advanced worked out real good this time. Small but smartly designed well equipt clean rooms wait for the guests here. Very conveniently located near Blanche Metro and a few minutes walk from the main Monmarte streets. I do think they... Just off the busy Rue Lepic is this delightful, quiet, comfortable and spotlessly clean hotel. We stayed for three days in a room overlooking the courtyard and neighbourhood apartments. The weather was warm so the air conditioner had a workout, but it was lovely to be able to open the windows for fresh air. Breakfast each morning in the "cave"... More

Very well appointed room with en suite facilities. Breakfast was available but we chose to eat in the nearby cafés. The roads close by were busy with construction vehicles at the time of our visit but not too noisy. Very close to Sacre Coeur and Moulin Rouge in the other direction. Handy for a choice of metro stops too.

My wife and I just recently spent 10 days in Paris as an early 30th anniversary celebration and were looking for a hotel out of the bustle of Paris yet near enough to easily get around the city and its sights. Well, this hotel MORE than fit the bill! The hotel is on a very quiet street out of the... More

For joining in touristy fun of Rue des Abbesses or wandering around quieter areas of Montmartre, Le Relais Montmartre was perfect. Friendly, informative staff- especially Alexi and Alexandra- made my husband and me feel at home. I appreciate their patience while I practiced French and admire the number of languages they spoke at the desk. Our rooms were quaint and... More

Staying in Montmartre

Neighborhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colors, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
