The Andrea Rivoli Hotel is located a few hundreds meters from the Hotel de Ville, Pompidou Center, Les Halles. Simple hotel, but if you need a room downtown Paris, with a very reasonable price, this hotel can be the choice: walking distance to many highlights in Paris and to the Metro line n. 1, restaurants, brasserie, bars, etc. are plenty... We just returned from our second stay in this hotel after having discovered it in 2010. It's your standard old, dark, small Paris hotel full of character and charm but inexpensive and clean. Two of us stayed in one of their unrenovated rooms and were perfectly happy. It's not a luxury hotel that you hang out in all day, but... More

I stayed at this hotel for four nights in between Christmas and New Years 2013. We had some trouble finding the street where it was located (it is a tiny street), so make sure you have a good map when arriving. We took the RER to Chatelet Les Halles metro stop, and it's about a 3 minute walk. The neighbourhood... More

The front desk clerks were very rude. When we were checking in, we asked if we could pay for a room upgrade since our room was very small. The lady just said "no" and cut me off half sentence. She said "no, we're full". A couple of days later we asked if we could have more towels and another front... More

The only plus I can find to say about this hotel is the location and the staff. The rooms were dark and dingey with not enough lighting inside. I had to keep the bathroom light on to allow any light into the room. Maybe the dark brown walls did not help??!! there was mould on the bathroom tiles and the... More

Amazing location, just a few steps from Subway Station. Short walking distance to rail station. Rooms have a good size to Paris, clean and staff 100% helpfull and kindly. Only misses a minibar, but an excellent hotel for the money you pay for it!!

Although a few doors from the busy Rue Rivoli, my room was in back and totally quiet. There are comments about the rooms facing the light shaft. I didn't mind that a bit. I was there in December anyway so I didn't care about the light or the view. Most of the staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was... More

Hotel Andrea Rivoli is an exceptional hotel for value, location and gracious staff. Although it is small (no lobby or lounge area) and the rooms are not large, it is a comfortable hotel with an elevator. The rooms are clean and linen changed regularly. (The pillowcases are even ironed!) The staff especially Laurence, Ava and Stephan are friendly and very... More

This hotel has exceeded all my expectations. Cozy, little hotel well managed by great and very friendly staff. The room was actually bigger than I have expected (I've been in Paris hotels before and the rooms are usually very, very small). Everything was very clean and well maintained. The hotel is situated in a little street and it is so... More

This is a great place to stay for a tourist like me that is on a budget, but still wants to feel some French style and be in my most perfect location in Paris. It is off a side street near the Hotel de Ville, so noise is not a problem. It is also within easy walking distance to the... More

Staying in Les Halles

Neighborhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
