This hotel has a good location but gives you little else for your money. Its photos looked charming, but the reception room was roped off like a museum exhibit so no one can use it. My bedroom was basic, poorly furnished, poky and noisy (wafer-thin walls). Breakfast was mean even by Parisian standards. And although my online booking print-out clearly... more

Anyone who's ever seen the TV show Fawlty Towers might have an inclination as to how abysmal this hotel is. Just returned from a stay at Hotel De La Tamise. First point to note is the lift, i can only describe it as a moving coffin, hence we only used it to send our luggage up and down to the fourth floor. Just returned from last minute weekend, great for the price. Full of french charm, clean, safe location with friendly staff. Continental breakfast included. Ask for low level room if you are claustrophobic as the lift is VERY small. Touleries metro 1 minute walk. Close walk to Louvre and Place de la Concord. more
