Thought it was great; convenient to 3 metro's and a mainline station. Felt very safe in the area; plenty of restaurants with lots of variety, including excellent crepes two doors down. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly especially the girl working the day shift. A room is a room; pretty basic but with essentials. How much... more

Very reasonable price for Paris, and one of few budget hotels which will put several beds in a room for a family - we had four beds for myself and three kids, and with a small bathroom too, for 119Euro. There was not much more room, but for one night before catching the Eurostar we didn't need it. Very short... more

Excellent!! The front desk staff (there were 3 of them of different shifts) were polite and really made us feel at home. The room was comfortable and the hotel is within walking distance to Gare du Nord that catching Eurostar home to London was so easy peasy. Also with the Metro, travelling in Paris is a bliss :) more

The room was incredibly cold, there was no heaters inside, the staff were rude especially the boss, didn't speak any English, the elevator was broken, the interior was small and not so nice, there were bed-bugs on sheets, the price is not so reasonable for the quality, the soundproof was poor plus there's renovation going on so you can hear... more

We stayed for four nights in this hotel. It was adequate for us. One of the staff was incredibly rude. I would not recommend this hotel to others due to this. I stayed there because a relative knew of it, she didn't mention that someone had been rude to them as well. She assumed it was a unique experience. But... more

You're in Paris enjoying indifferent service & a beer for 10 euro when suddenly you realise it's 1 o'clock & the hotel locks it's door at 2 (even though there's nothing on their website to say otherwise). A late night stroll through muggers central & you have to grab the key yourself, as the man on reception is too busy... more

Very budget. Small rooms with a tiny bathroom. The shower nozzle kept falling down and the basin sink plug was stuck so I couldn't drain the basin. The staff were incredibly rude the entire time. I got into trouble the first day for going out and not leaving my key with them. They never told me that I had to.... more

i paid $80 USD per night for a 3-night stay in december 2008. the hotels.com price did not include breakfast. location is not the most ideal. it's far from the center and even by metro there is many stops along the way. the nearest metro station is Gare d l'est or Gare du nord. they are equidistant to the hotel.... more

Having read all the other reviews on here (as I'm sure you're doing) some of them seemed disconcerting, some good. Here's the reality, just to put you at ease: The hotel is NOT in a dangerous area (the African quarter) and it's prefectly fine to walk around in the evening. There are homeless people (as there are all over Paris... more

Property easy to find from station of the east subway, name only above the door but large hotel sign visible from mail road. Ground floor single room adequate for an overnight stay, all toiletries & towels provided though bathroom has only a semi private sliding door. Spare pillows on shelf to replace cylinder cushion if need be but have to... more
