We booked two rooms in this hotel and neither of the two of us were terribly impressed with our stay there. Room was very basic. It had a partition wall with a toilet one side and a tiny shower and sink the other. The toilet stunk of urine. It felt like a bedsit. The room was dark and damp. Cant add much that hasnt already been said. We stayed for 4 days and as well as the hotel being perfectly adequate, we found the best bar in paris just around the corner.If you turn left out of the doors and take the third or fourth street on the right you will find "la Bicyclette". The hotel is easy enough to find, being close to the metro system and with a bus stop right on the door step. The Libertel Canal Saint Martin is a very basic hotel. We had a standard room, which was very small. The bathroom was also small and certainly in need of a renovation or at least repainting. The room got too warm at night as there was no airco. And worse, we could not leave our window open, because we were sleeping... more

Perfectly clean but tiny rooms. Beds are very comfy but the bathroom was also really tiny. We didn't realise there were better quality rooms available so would definately ask for them.
