I stayed at the Villa Mazarin with my 20 year old son Aug 11-13. I found the booking through "laterooms" and got a good rate for what was listed as a 4star hotel (EU120 pd). I agree totally with the Tripadvisor reviewer "TessaCrause " from Australia, about the hotel. I also did not add any pictures, because the ones already... More

When staying Paris, you expect a small pokey room, but you don't really mind, because you're in Paris! However, this wasn't the case at the Hotel Villa Mazarin. We had a nice spacious room, that was spotlessly clean. Reception were helpful, and made allowances for my broken French. The hotel was located a short stroll away from Notre Dame and... More

My 18 year old daughter and I stayed here for 10 nights in July 08. Overall, good hotel by Parisian standards. Herewith the pros and cons: Pros: * central location, just off Rue Rivoli very close to Hotel de ville in 4th Arr; * very spacious rooms with double bed, small dining table and chairs; desk, dresser; small kitchenette (no... Found this hotel after search on the tripadvisor.com site and was certainly not disappointed. Great location just two streets from the Seine, one from the Town Hall and in the vibrant Marais area. The superior room was very spacious particularly for Paris. Our room was a corner one overlooking the Marais area. Each level of the hotel is decorated in... More

We truly enjoyed our stay! The staff was excellent and the rooms were clean and well kept, though definitely not large by American standards. The hotel was in the most perfect spot amongs the bustling steets of the Marais district, and only a metro (subway) ride away from every main site. A disclaimer -- unless you like to walk or... Superb stay. We couldn't have asked for more. The area was vibrant and lively, but the hotel was a nice escape from the hustle and bustle when desired. Breakfast delivered to our room was superb - just the right quantities of everything. Room very spacious for a Parisian hotel, very clean and extremely well furnished. Staff were extremely helpful and... More

OK that might be overdoing it a little, but we loved this hotel. A group of 12 of us booked it as it was in the Marais, with good reviews, fair prices and with a suite for socialising. The hotel reception is small and non-descript, but the rooms are stylish and clean. The duplex suite (number 56) is about the... More

Having tried many and various hotels for a weekend visit, we were offered a spacious room at the Villa Mazarin, slightly more than we really wished to pay, but didnt think we could do better in the time available. I spoke directly with the manager and found him extremely helpful. We were delighted with the accommodation, especially the fact that... More

We got a discounted price and i think for the location and room size, we did ok. I wouldn't be happy with this place at full rates though so negotiate or try elsewhere. Plus points- right by the Hotel De Ville so handy for the metro and the area around Notre Dame. The Rue des Archives is one of the... More

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
