Ok so this is a review coming from a traveller. The rooms are tiny and the bathrooms are even tinier! There's no lift. So what!! We were with a pregnant woman on the forth floor but without complaint. Room cleaned every day. I find if you leave the room reasonably tidy the staff will be in lined to be more... More

The hotel was not cleaned when we took the room and was not cleaned during the whole stay. The toilet was one of those that are put in the streets when there is roadworks. All the corners of the rooms were dirty and the floor was sticky. I do not know how they believe how they still stay open. It... More

This is a hotel for those with a low budget, nothing fancy, but you get pretty decent conditions, clean room, comfortable bed, pretty quiet, safe neighbourhood. You open the door using a card, so it's pretty safe to leave valuable things inside.

The bad thing about the hotel is that it has no elevator otherwise it's a very good hotel for low budget travelers , the bathroom was really clean the room was small but ok , the receptionist is very nice And it's close to the metro station and not far from the tourist sites and the neighborhood is very friendly... Comparing with other budget hotels, the rooms are quite ok in terms of size, although the bathroom is very small. The bed was big and comfortable and my room had big windows which i loved cause i'm a fan of light. Bad wifi unfortunately. Nice staff.

Stayed here last week .After a bumpy start with a miserable receptionist we were left to find our own rooms on the third floor .the room was ok and we slept well that night ,the local bars and food establishments are very cheap for Paris particularly the bar on the corner of the street ! Would use the hotel again... More

It is a pretty good hotel for budget traveller. Though the room is small, it is very clean and the bed is comfortable enough for sleeping. The hotel is located close to Rue de Menilmontant where we can see Eiffel tower from the distance. The staffs are very friendly and would love to give you some information you need to... More

OK, the rooms are very small, the bathrooms even smaller, but the bed was good and I was satisfied for a short stay. Don't be put off by the neighbourhood (like some reviewers), the mix of French, Arab, African, Chinese and Vietnamese make it an interesting area with good, cheap places to eat. Perhaps more the real Paris than other... More

The room was small but clean and the staff was friendly. The bed is the hardest Ive ever slept in. The neighbourhood doesnt look very nice but nothing happened to us. The metro station (Jourdain) is 4 blocks away (it takes about 30 minutes to get to the center of paris from here). We choose this hotel because it had... More

Small property but very clean rooms and atmosphere also very friendly and helpful staff...close to local shops and amenities, Specially I would recommend the Resturant called SAMSARA next to JOURDAIN Station, very nice and brilliant food also there's a fast food outlet called K'pital near hotel. all together our stay was brilliant and we enjoyed it.

Staying in Belleville / Pere Lachaise

Neighborhood Profile
Belleville / Pere Lachaise
At the eastern edge of Paris lies Belleville / Père Lachaise, an understated wonderland of local treasures. Alongside the world-famous cemetery, family-owned delicatessens and cafés nestle between local stores and establishments. The richness of the population here has created a little Chinatown of Asian restaurants, and the area comes to life at night by a funky underground scene. Façades change from one street to another as one passes from white walled provincial homes to tall blocks and reconverted homes. The whole area is an inspirational mix of people from all corners of the world frequented by artists, students, immigrants, and Parisian families. Once home to supporters of the Paris commune, its rebellious nature is now offset by its rural charms.
