The hotel is located on a nice and quiet area. The price is good for the quality, you don't need much luxury when in Paris. The rooms are small, but clean. Anyway, they didn't change our towels or our bed sheets in our 4 days of staying there. Also, you can hear noises from the other rooms. In general, it's... More

I found the area nice with shops and nice restaurants, the centre of Paris is 15 minutes away by metro. So the location is good. The problem was with the hotel itself. The guy in the reception is not very friendly, didn't even tried to help us feel welcomed. The room and the bathroom is tiny, but not a problem... More

Chosen for reasonable price (with advance booking) and location close to friend's apartment. Aware already that room and bathroom would be small, but did not find this a problem, as we went out in the morning and came back just to sleep. Towels very small, but ours were changed daily, as were the sheets. Very cold spell when we were... More

Rooms were very small so was the bathroom. The area was horrible and felt very unsafe. We paid well over the top for that kind of hotel in that area. Will not be returning to here. The staff weren't very helpful and the cleaner was very rude.

Me and my boyfriend went to Paris for New Year and found the hotel and the area to be shabby and extremely run down. It is a very simple room and the bathroom is smaller than one that you would find in a caravan. The staff were okay, nothing to shout about, no smiles or anything! We found the hotel... More

Ok so this is a review coming from a traveller. The rooms are tiny and the bathrooms are even tinier! There's no lift. So what!! We were with a pregnant woman on the forth floor but without complaint. Room cleaned every day. I find if you leave the room reasonably tidy the staff will be in lined to be more... More

The hotel was not cleaned when we took the room and was not cleaned during the whole stay. The toilet was one of those that are put in the streets when there is roadworks. All the corners of the rooms were dirty and the floor was sticky. I do not know how they believe how they still stay open. It... More

This is a hotel for those with a low budget, nothing fancy, but you get pretty decent conditions, clean room, comfortable bed, pretty quiet, safe neighbourhood. You open the door using a card, so it's pretty safe to leave valuable things inside.

The bad thing about the hotel is that it has no elevator otherwise it's a very good hotel for low budget travelers , the bathroom was really clean the room was small but ok , the receptionist is very nice And it's close to the metro station and not far from the tourist sites and the neighborhood is very friendly... Comparing with other budget hotels, the rooms are quite ok in terms of size, although the bathroom is very small. The bed was big and comfortable and my room had big windows which i loved cause i'm a fan of light. Bad wifi unfortunately. Nice staff.

Staying in Belleville / Pere Lachaise

Neighborhood Profile
Belleville / Pere Lachaise
At the eastern edge of Paris lies Belleville / Père Lachaise, an understated wonderland of local treasures. Alongside the world-famous cemetery, family-owned delicatessens and cafés nestle between local stores and establishments. The richness of the population here has created a little Chinatown of Asian restaurants, and the area comes to life at night by a funky underground scene. Façades change from one street to another as one passes from white walled provincial homes to tall blocks and reconverted homes. The whole area is an inspirational mix of people from all corners of the world frequented by artists, students, immigrants, and Parisian families. Once home to supporters of the Paris commune, its rebellious nature is now offset by its rural charms.
