The hotel is within reach of the sights of Paris and the main train station. I visited in early July and it was quite hot. The hotel did not have air conditioning, which made the rooms quite unbearable. However if all your require is a simple room for the night, then this is it.

After trying to find a hotel on a very tight budget for our honeymoon, we finally just selected the Avenir Hotel just because we were tired of looking. If you've read my other reviews, you know that I just look for something cheap, clean and safe for my stays. Well, in this case, as soon as we opened the door... More

This was our first stop on our European honeymoon. I paid a little extra to get the highest floor with a view and it was completely worth it! The room itself was quite small with barely enough space to open 2 suitcases at the same time, it did however have a really nice old style charm which was lovely. Breakfast... More

After reading several Paris hotel reviews I chose The Avenir for the location and price that others wrote about. Conveniently close to the metro station, a very helpful tourist info booth, several cafes, and the city tour hop on hop off bus stop made it perfect for us. We were there second week of April for four nights. We too... More

I booked this hotel for myself & daughter based on reviews, for 3 nights @ 84,00€ per night. Paris is expensive anyway so this was pretty much the best I could find for what I was willing to pay. Didn't include breakfast - that was 6,00€ each, but we had our own so didn't need it. The room was on... More

This is a cool little budget hotel in St. Ouer--right next to the Garibaldi metro station. The first thing that you need to know is that it really isn't a typical full service hotel; it is more like a cafe that rents rooms. So, when you arrive, you actually check in at the cafe. We rented a room with a... More

Honestly, if you want the Ritz - book the Ritz. However, if you want a decent, clean, basic hotel in a great location - then book the Avenir. Granted, the decor is a bit dated (I would personally lose the yellow-toned paint on the woodwork) but the beds are comfortable, the hotel is clean, the staff are friendly and the... More

This is an economy hotel and in that category it rates very highly in terms of value for money. The hotel is a bit tired but many parts have been renovated and improved and it was spotlessly clean. In terms of location, let's just say our room had a view of Sacre Couer at a distance of about 500m. Metro... More

Honestly, this is a cheap hotel. But when I think of Paris, this is what I envision. Get a room on the highest floor possible, out towards the street.. The balconies are wide enough to relax on in the morning and the views are spectacular, at day and night. Watch Paris come to life and people rush off to work.... More
