I stayed with my spouse in this hotel back in 2013 and found it really good. Clean rooms, good staff and amazing services. I will definitely recommend people to stay here when they visit paris so they can fully enjoy their trip.

I've been along with my family on february at Villa Modigliani.... I needed a hotel in central Paris and I found this one at Montparnasse.... great location.... room was very clean and big enough ... the structure is pretty new .... breakfast not so bad .... all things considered it is recommended.

I've stayed here a few times and had a reasonable experience. The room, breakfast and wifi have always been good and the decor tasteful, but the hotel is becoming a little tired - torn wallpaper and scrapes in the corridors, loose electrical fittings in the rooms. On this visit, the normal grumpy man was not at reception, but a more... More

I am writing this to provide a different opinion of the staff whom many of the other reviewers apparently did not appreciate. I am a college professor and take groups of students to Paris every May. In May 2014 my travel company booked us at the Villa Modigliani. As everyone has noted the location is perfect: right off lines 4... More

Stayed there November 10-19, 2014. We had Room 125 which was on the east side of the courtyard; this building has only two floors (the west side had about six floors). The room was a decent size, separate toilet from the bathroom. Requested a room with a refrigerator and this made all the difference. We were able to keep cold... More

Hotel has a relatively quiet location close to the bussy area near Montparnasse. That is the good point. Alas the only one. For the rest... Rooms needed a refurbishment many years ago. Lots of squeaky floor tiles, doors, windows, and the card reader on the door did not work very reliably. Bathtub was rusty. Hairs of the previous guest on... More

Start with positive side. Location is good, 2 minutes walk from the metro station Vavin. Room I stay in is clean, it would be better if it has a mini bar and/or tea and coffee make facilities. En suit has a bath tub over shower. As there is a gap between glass panel and top of tub, after shampooing with... More

I looked at many reviews of different hotels before plumping for the Villa Modigliani. Having only 4 days in Paris, I wanted to find somewhere in a good location, that was good value for money, comfortable and quiet. The Villa Modigliani fitted the bill well. I never give a full 5 stars for a review, the main reason being, that... More

I've been on many visits to Paris and stayed in the Montparnasse area. I've also walked the Rue Delambra many times, but for some reason never noticed this hotel. It is essentially an oasis in this neighborhood, with "garden" outside the hotel, and very quiet location. The rooms were quite large for being a Paris hotel, and it even had... More

I am of two minds about this hotel, which is why it has taken me some time to write this review. On the positive side, the location is great! On a beautiful, quaint little street in Montparnasse with good restaurants, a great cheese shop, wine shop, and a wonderful little shoe shop. Really, what more could anyone want. The hotel... More

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighborhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the center of Paris this neighborhood has something for every hour of the day.
