Rooms unclean and hotel needs serious renovation. Staff unhelpful too. The beds had mites. Poor breakfast. The hotel is beaten down and very old. The responsiveness of the staff to our problems was too slow and handled in an unfriendly manner. Check in process was lengthy, and uninviting. It's quite a pity because the only proper review I could give... More

Arrived at the hotel on a hot humid day looking forward to a cool room...air con on! We booked this hotel because of the price and because it was advertised on their own website ... Air conditioning to all rooms. NO! We got a wobbly fan, a tiny room, a very tiny bathroom with a toilet that had a broken... More

OK, that was an exaggeration. The room was clean. The hotel was unbelievably run down. The staff was only helpful at check in (when they wanted a credit card) and check out (when they wanted to know what other charges they could bill for). The hotel reeks of the odor of cabbage from the restaurant below which specialized in sour... More

In poor condition. Holes in the wall. No hot water one day. No tv two days out of five there. Old, and worn down. Elevator was so slow! The professional photos are deceptive. Our room was so small we could not get out of the bed on one side. Do not recommend this hotel. Ugh.

Very basic hotel, but friendly staff and an excellent location especially if you're traveling by train. About a 30 minute walk to the Opera and the more touristy parts of the city. Would not recommend it for a romantic interlude, but for a solo traveler on a budget, it's good value.

Generally good budget hotel close to transport links to all the sights. My criticism of the hotel is the mayhem at breakfast. I found that every morning was the same - total disarray! The space available is not well used, the help yourself area understocked (apart from loads of sugar lumps??) & hence under utilised by guests. The miserable looking... More

We took the Eurostar to Gare du Nord, and it was a fair hike to the hotel, but Paris is an interesting city up close so it was actually enjoyable. The Hotel is right on top of the Gare d'Est Metro station, so that made tripping around using the Metro easy. They will keep your bags in a locked room... More

The good thing about this hotel is the location, right in front of the bus stop, metro and train Gar D'Est. Mini market nearby and restaurants. The breakfast was nice with orange juice, coffee, fresh baguette and croissants, butter and jam. Staff were nice and helpful. The rooms were clean but a bit small, well this is Paris but we... More
