The location was good: not far from downtown, metro station is 10 minutes walk. But it's very noisy outside because the cafe right under the windows works from early in the morning till late at night. We stayed in Exclusive Double Room 406. The bathroom is normal. The room itself is as tiny as everything in the hotel: lobby, corridors,... More

We normally stay on the Left Bank so staying in the Marais district of Paris was new to us. The hotel itself was....fine. The room was a perfectly good size and the bathroom wasn't bad at all - the shower worked very well. We had asked for a quiet room but were given one overlooking the main road. They said... More

The location in the interesting Marais district is perfect. Many cafés and small shops in the neighbourhood and an easy walk to many sights and the metro. There was also a laundromat nearby. Both the bedroom and bathroom were a good size and very clean and it was nice to be able to open the windows. Very quiet with windows... More

tl;dr: Airconditioning was broken for two nights, hotel didn't do anything, made us pack and unpack twice to get us to move to a smaller and cheaper room. Their response to our complaint was, "Boh, what do you want me to do about it." Came in the first night airconditioning was broken and there was a puddle outside of the... More

My wife and I had pretty low expectations on this hotel, but this hotel met them and beyond.Great location 5/10 mins to various metro lines(a god send in Paris),it's location in Marais is so central and just a nice vibe of an area.Couldn't ask for a better location in my opinion, with a lovely view of a mellow park, which is a nice... i loved my stay at Hotel Des Archives. Great location, easy walk to Le Marais, conviniently located to many cafe for drinks and food, next to a small but really nice supermarket. Lovely and healpful staff, everyone was polite and very friendly. Room was clean and big for Paris and compare to other hotels in the same area. The MOST... More

I stayed in three different districts in paris this time, Marais and this hotel is by far the best located. The republique metro station is 5 to 10 minutes away with infinite connection options. Rooms are nicely decorated, small but comfortable and cozy. Very friendly and helpfull staff. Message to management- some minor maintenance required to keep this place top.... More

I stayed here with my boyfriend for Valentine's weekend and the hotel was everything we wanted. It is great value for money, very central and the staff are very friendly. However, true to many of the reviews on Tripadvisor it is rather shabby. The wallpaper is coming off and the sink in our room had many cracks in it and... More

I stayed twice since last March. First time I was in standard room for two it was not bad. Last month I stayed in the executive room on the top the room was big and clean. To top on that it has a great bath tub! However, on the morning before I checked out the water was lot heated so... More

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighorhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
