Close to downtown, 20 minutes walk from Gare du Nord train station. Discovered in the Europe on 10 dollars a day book ( at the time). Better than the youth hostel in both cost and location. Small rooms, but the owner was accommodating. Came with a continental breakfast. This place closed at midnight, we had to knock on the door... More

Be aware that the hotel is under construction (August 2015). Very well located, close to metro stations. Some of the staff had challenges with English though very very polite and attentive, it is an issue when you are trying to communicate in English. There is a tiny elevator that goes to the 4th floor, if you land on the top... More

A small and charming hotel in the heart of Paris. Excellent service. Small bedroom but with private bathroom. All you need in one place. You can take breakfast and is pretty near from the subway. Quiet and save neighborhood. The relation cost - benefit is really good.

The hotel should be rather called "hostel" and of the lower category. The room was claustrophobic, packed with 3 beds, no space to go among them. No a.c. in the room, no any amenities. Noisy due to the construction works in front of my window, the works starting early morning allowing no rest. Renovation was also in process inside the... More

I'll admit, I was a bit surprised when 3 of us arrived and construction was well underway. I could see though that the staff were apologetic about it. There was no triple room available for us, which is what we booked, but they gave us 2 double rooms. One being a modern one and one very old. I completely understand... More

Very noisy. Noisy lift being used long into the night. Noisy guests until 3am. Wafer thin walls meant we did not sleep much. Hotel was undergoing improvements when we stayed but this did not effect us. Would like to see it when it is finished (if they get a new lift!). Free wifi but not very strong - I had... More

Please note that most of this review is only likely to be accurate for the period until the hotel finishes renovation, which it is currently undergoing. When we arrived at the hotel, we could see it was clearly under renovation. We were told we were to be given an unrenovated room for one night before moving to a renovated room... More

When we looked for hotels and read recommendations almost everyone had commented that the rooms were so very small in all hotels. However, when we got to the hotel and saw the room we were positively surprised. It was well enough for two persons and with a good location to that it was easy to go where ever you like.... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
