My problem occurred last year but since there have been others with credit card issues I thought I should share my experience. SIXTEEN months after we stayed at the Hotel Thoumieux, I received an email informing me that I still owed the hotel for 1 night's stay and that their front desk put the charge through on my credit card.... Smallest 30 square metre room I have ever stayed in. Room had bath only. Double bed was two single bases pushed together that we both kept sliding off of - super uncomfortable. Nail in the coffin was to arrive home in SA to an email from them telling me that they had charged me 40 Euro (and put the charge... More

Had the chance to stay for one night in June while we were moving across the street. The hotel is nicely decorated, we had a suite so no complaints about the size of the room. Amenities are really nice. Food is delicious (room service is from the brasserie Thoumieux) but the Dom Perignon by the glass from the menu wasn't... More

Hotel Thoumieux exceeded our expectations from the other online reviews and pictures. Yes, it's a small boutique hotel in a city that is known for is cramped space, and yes, there is no elevator access, but everything about the hotel and its staff was lovely and charming and like out of a storybook. We also got engaged while staying here,... More

I will be honest, I've always wanted to stay at Thoumieux. It's in the neighbourhood I know best in Paris and where I often work. I booked this time because the rate was amazing - no idea why. And what a treat! Everything is just spot on - arrival upstairs, painfully pretty front desk staff, the smell of the place... More

There is no better home base to feel stylishly Parisian during your stay. While the room was compact, which is typical in Paris, or so I've found, the room was decorated really nicely, with fun wall paper and chic decor. The extra touches Hotel Thoumieux offered, like biscuits in your room on arrival, a high powered espresso machine in your... More

When we arrived there was a bit of a disaster as there was a problem with our booking of two rooms for four night which had been made through a third party company. Sasha and her colleagues on reception worked solidly for an hour trying to resolve the issue which they did but we did have to spend the first... More

Small hotel with superfriendly staff. Excellent rooms with one-off design decoration. Only thing was that the rooms are quite remotely located with quit a few stairs to climb. Next time we will also book the restaurant for sure. It looked very inviting however we already had bookings elsewhere.

I stayed at Hotel Thoumieux last July on business (apologies for the delay in writing this review!) and booked last minute so there was limited availability - I ended up in a double room which is fine for one person but would be a squash if there were two people! It was pretty small! The bathroom is tiny, the toilet... More

The hotel is laid between Eifel Tower and Invalids in an intimate typical French street. The hotel is perfect starting point by walk to Eifel Tower, Invalids, Grand Palace and Alexander III Bridge. Naturally it is also good starting point to go by underground because we can get some near underground stations by a few minute walk. Our hotel room... More

Staying in Tour Eiffel / Invalides

Neighborhood Profile
Tour Eiffel / Invalides
With the Eiffel Tower at its core, the Invalides area of Paris is guaranteed to impress. Golden towers and Baron Haussmann's urban vision meet military precision, stretching avenues, and luscious lawns. The area boasts the Musée D’Orsay, the tomb of Napoleon, the National Parliament and UNESCO, as well as luxurious, exclusive residences. In fine restaurants and at the weekend markets, families, diplomats, and politicians brush shoulders with the tourists who come to see this postcard-perfect area for themselves.
