Easy to get to with metro, pretty, cheerful, colorful, very cozy, good price, friendly staff, good breakfast, great neighborhood--everything you could want if you are visiting Paris and you do not want to spend a lot of money on lodging. We will definitely stay here again and feel very comfortable recommending it to others.

My wife and I stayed in this hotel for three nights in March 2010. It was very convenient to the Metro, the Eiffel Tower, the Rodin Museum, and a beautiful neighborhood that was fully Parisian called Rue Cler. Our room was small but fulfilled our needs completely. We had breakfast in the hotel one morning, and it was very good.... More

This is the fourth time I have stayed here and will continue to come back to this cozy place right off Rue Cler. They serve good hot coffee with breakfast which is fruit, yogurt, bagette, pound cake, croissant and OJ. There is always someone at the reception desk and the owners, although reserved and very busy, are very helpful when... More

The decor, quiet rooms with confortable beds, and friendly staff was a great place to relax after a long day of sight seeing. The convenient, cozy neighborhood makes you feel like a local.

My niece, daughter-in-law, and I spent 5 glorious days in Paris. Part of the joy of our trip was the wonderful Hotel du Champs de Mars. The location, the nearby restaurants and metro, the comfortable beds, the efficient desk service for dinner reservations et al cheered us on a daily basis. To my delight, each bed had a strong reading... More

My wife and myself just returned from a week stay at Champ de Mars and everything you read in these reviews ( and Steves book) is true. Great location, nearby cafes are literally 100 feet from the hotel's front door and an extremely safe and inviting part of Paris. The rooms are as small as all say but well designed... More

I had booked a hotel in the Latin Quarter for one week. Checked in and found out that their elevator wasn't working and I was on the sixth floor in a "superior" single. Saw the room and immediately hailed a cab and went to my favorite hotel in Paris, the Hotel du Champ de Mars hoping they would have a... More

We spent a total of 6 nights at Hotel du Champ de Mars and loved the comfort, cleanliness, location, and graciousness of owners, Francoise and Stephan, and their staff. The hotel is in a perfect location for exploring Paris-a couple of blocks from the Eiffel Tower, Metro and train stations, and just off of Rue Cler. At the end of... More

It was my first trip to Paris and we had booked this hotel through reviews we saw on trip advisor. The hotel was clean, the people were very friendly and the basics were perfect! You can see the tower from the front windows since it is walking distance. Rates were very reasonable, I had talked with a collegue of mine... More

My wife and I spent a few days in Normandy then headed to Paris on 12/31 in time to catch New Years Eve in the City of Light. The hotel is located in the heart of the Rue Cler neighborhood...a block from a Metro station and a few minutes walk to the Eiffel Tower. You really can't pick a better... More

Staying in Tour Eiffel / Invalides

Neighborhood Profile
Tour Eiffel / Invalides
With the Eiffel Tower at its core, the Invalides area of Paris is guaranteed to impress. Golden towers and Baron Haussmann's urban vision meet military precision, stretching avenues, and luscious lawns. The area boasts the Musée D’Orsay, the tomb of Napoleon, the National Parliament and UNESCO, as well as luxurious, exclusive residences. In fine restaurants and at the weekend markets, families, diplomats, and politicians brush shoulders with the tourists who come to see this postcard-perfect area for themselves.
