What a great location to start walking around Paris! Spotless hotel from top to bottom The best breakfast with fresh croissants and yogurt each morning. Our room a little snug but the most efficient small bathroom you will find! Delightful throughout.

This was our first trip to Paris, and this was the perfect place to stay. If you're interested in forgoing the cliche modern furniture of hotel chains in favor of charm and taste then this is the place for you. The staff is friendly and always willing to help, whether you're looking for entertainment or trying to figure out cultural... More

We had a lovely stay there - we were in a twin for four nights. Rooms are small (it is Paris after all) but clean and beds were comfortable. There is a small elevator to get your bags upstairs. It is right off the Rue Cler which has lots of restaurants and shopping. Staff was polite if not overly helpful... More

My daughter & I spent five wonderful nights at Hotel du Champ de Mars. My 4th trip to Paris. Have previously stayed in the Madeleine & Marais areas. Love Rue Cler! Best hotel, biggest room (by Paris standards)! Fabulous location! Very attractive room, clean & comfortable. Serviced daily! Appreciated the friendly & helpful staff, especially Francoise, Stephane & Najeb. Didn't... More

Excellent location in a pedestrian plaza. Close to restaurants, Eiffel tower and Metro. Rooms are very small but adequate for 1 or 2 nights. Options for breakfast are plentiful around the area. Overall a good convenient base to explore Paris from.

We been to Paris 7 or 8 times and always wanted to stay in this area. Over all, this area can't be beat, it has everything within seconds, good places to eat, mini food store, post office, great subway line, flower shop, wine shops just everything. The hotel is super clean, the breakfast can't be beat for 9E. Now the... More

My husband and I had only two days in Paris. We wanted to stay in an area where we could easily see the most popular sights. But we didn't think we could afford a nice hotel in a popular location. Then we read Rick Steves' book about Paris, and we picked a hotel a few blocks from the Eiffel Tower... More

Just stayed six nights and it was great. Of course the location in Rue Clear can't be beat. The room was immaculate and the WiFi worked perfect. The shower was small but I'm a big guy so this is not news when you are in Paris! Did not do breakfast. Overall a delightful experience in the greatest town in the... More

I just read the previous negative comments from months gone by and I must say that I find them surprising. I LOVED this hotel and the staff could not have been more helpful. Actually, when I first arrived in Paris I was booked to stay in a B & B. It was terrible. I won't go into detail, but I... More

A reasonably priced hotel for Paris and we definitely recommend the Rue Cler area for seeing the Paris sights. Walking distance to Eiffel Tower and the Orsay Museum and other must see sights. We did not buy the extra breakfast. Room was large and clean. One thing that we found odd was there were no electrical outlets in our bathroom.... More

Staying in Tour Eiffel / Invalides

Neighborhood Profile
Tour Eiffel / Invalides
With the Eiffel Tower at its core, the Invalides area of Paris is guaranteed to impress. Golden towers and Baron Haussmann's urban vision meet military precision, stretching avenues, and luscious lawns. The area boasts the Musée D’Orsay, the tomb of Napoleon, the National Parliament and UNESCO, as well as luxurious, exclusive residences. In fine restaurants and at the weekend markets, families, diplomats, and politicians brush shoulders with the tourists who come to see this postcard-perfect area for themselves.
