Booked this for a trip with my family. A big mistake. Let's sum up some flaws: there are rooms at the street side, I am willing to believe these are ok. However, we had a room at the back looking at some very small inner courtyard/shaft (no fire escape possibility there by the way), which allows other rooms to look... More

My daughter (16) and I stayed here for a week in October. Room was small but perfect for what we wanted, after all if you go to Paris you don't stay in your room. 5 mins walk to Notre Dame, supermarket round corner, metro station( Cluny La Sorbonne) within 2 mins plus Notre Dame St Michel metro just down the road,... Recently stayed at this place in Sept 2014. Extremely poor customer service. **** The front desk is not staffed 24 hours. So if you arrive after 7pm, you must use codes to get in the building and to get keys for your room from a safe. The owner conveniently changed the codes and our room assignment the day before our... I can't say enough how great this place is. Location is central to all the great parts of old Paris. Just blocks from Notre Dame, in the bohemian St Germain/latin district (great food and art district!). The owner/manager was incredibly helpful. We ended up being somewhat high maintenance guests, with a late arrival, transportation needs, etc. Zakyr was so wonderful.... More

We spent one night at this hotel and it was fine for one night but no more. A good size room but dated furniture and the bed was a fold out bed. We had a basic kitchen but didn't use it. The internet was difficult to use ( I have never seen such a long password) but once on it... More

Great apartment in the best place of Paris. Close to metro station. Close to all the restaurants in latin quarter. The sofa bed is very comfortable to sleep in. The refrigerator was clean and with no noise. Warm water in the shower. The apartment had a good kitchen. The reception was always helpful. From the apartment you can walk to... More

My true rating for this hotel is a 2.5. Excellent location, but otherwise only suitable for those who are accustomed to hostel-like accommodations. Had the reviews here been more accurate, I would have paid the extra $ for a more comfortable hotel, since I was traveling with my parents, not teenagers.

This was our first time in Paris and I can't imagine a better location than this apartment. It's not fancy - but clean, compact and a great price. The location is so terrific, we didn't need a taxi the whole time; we used the metro and were able to walk to most places. Just a great place - Thank-you Zak!!!

Very close to rer b train from airport. Got the ground floor duplex appartment which was roomier than expected with 2 bedrooms of each 2 beds+big sleeping sofa, 2 bathroms. Would stay here again, even though there is not much light at ground floor. Ok kitchen facilities for light meals. Could leave luggage before and after stay, service minded staff.

From a previous trip, I was prejudiced against hotels in Paris: I used to think there were two kinds of them: outrageously expensive or run down hostels with terrible reviews. Last time I had to stay in far away Charenton just to avoid going bankrupt (I was travelling alone). Things change a lot when you go to Paris with family/friends.... More

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
