Great Location near to Oberkampf metro and the varied nightlife on St Martins Canal, Oberkampf and Belleville. Rooms small but not badly sized for Paris. Stone floors and lack of sound proofing mean its noisy. Staff were kind and friendly. I would stay again. 3.5 for me.

I just stayed here for 3 nights a few nights ago and had a wonderful time at this hotel. The hotel was very clean, the staff very friendly and helpful and it was close to many cafes and bars, and only one block from the Metro subway. It was very easy to find which is a huge help in Paris... More

Stayed at this very friendly hotel, which is an ideal couple of minutes from Oberkampf Metro. If travelling from Gare Du Nord (Eurostar terminal and RER B for Stade De France), this is four stops southbound on Line 5 (Orange). Has a large antiques market Saturday and Sunday, which seemed very popular with a fruit market Tuesday. Cafe's and restaurants... More

I stayed here last weekend for three nights, and thought this hotel was great! The staff were all incredibly welcoming and friendly. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel, and chose to eat out at a couple of the local patisseries and bars which were lovely. A good location, the hotel and rooms were much better than anticipated. I loved... More

very clean hotel. Hotel located between metro station: Oberkampf and Parmitier. 700 meters distance far from Bastille and Republique. Staff kind and very reliable. Good free wi-fi internet connection. Kettle present in room. Room not too big

I stayed here 3 times last year from Dec ('13) to Feb '14. Basically every time I wanted to spend a weekend in Paris (while going to school in the 'burbs), this was a no brainer. First, great location in the young hipster district of Oberkampf, across from the canal Saint Martin where people love to sit and drink when... More

Location: Great Location! Close to a metro station and in front of a boulevard where there is a market. The area is full of restaurants and bars. Rooms: The room was great even it was a small, but the reminiscence of antique hotels gives it a special character. The room has no coffee machine. Bathroom: Nice bathroom. The shower does... More

My husband and I spent part of our honeymoon at this quaint hotel towards the end of October. The staff were welcoming and friendly, the room was beautifully appointed, clean and cosy and the breakfast (which is served in the hotel's old cellar) was great! Typical French fare served with great care. The hotel also lies within close proximity of... More

Staying in Bastille / Oberkampf

Neighborhood Profile
Bastille / Oberkampf
Bastille and Oberkampf are lively parts of town made for entertainment. During the day rows of unassuming bars welcome customers for a bite or a drink, but it’s at night this area really comes to life. Students and young professionals fill the busy bars around Bastille and Oberkampf. At Place de la Bastille, crowds flock to the Opéra Bastille in the evening and groups wait for coveted tickets during the day. Towards Republique, skateboarders practice their tricks while others chill out at the square. If you’re looking for late-night revelry, this is your neighborhood.
