Very small rooms, basic accommodation. Close to local transportation, so that aspect is good. You can save money, but for an extra you can get better quality. Some aspects need renovation but overall this is a nice budget accomodation.

A great deal for the price specially for Paris. If you're looking for a place to stay at low cost with no hassle and clean sheets, this hotel is very nice. For a 2-star hotel, I don't see how people can complain (avout the tapestry and other bon-relevant things when you're only looking for a cozy place to sleep and... More

The staff was nice, friendly and speak english. The accommodations were a little outdated and has a little old stains on the carpet (but they're details for somebody). However, the matress was soft for our standards, but for small vacations and considering the price were good. Always hot water, even at late hours of the night.

The wallpaper was torn, the floor had what looked like burn marks and the showerhead made me smell like copper. Walls were also thin so heard many interesting sounds. Just alright but could be so much better for value. The receptionist was nice and friendly however. Imo, if you're not going to spend a lot of time in your room... More

Quite good for its price concerning expensive living in Paris. The room is not too big but cosy, the bathroom is convinient. The cleaning was daily so we are satisfied with room services. In the neighbourhood there are at least 4 supermarkets, different cafes and bistroes. Windows face the North, so it's not very hot inside, though the room has... More

The hotel is situated in Alesia, quite a few metro stops away from the centre of Paris but a fairly nice area. The room we got was average sized with a small bathroom but for the price we didn't mind. The walls however were thin so we could hear people quite clearly in other rooms on our floor. Good for... Beautiful Paris and Awful Cecil Hotel. This was our second visit to this hotel and it has deteriorated in the past two years. The bed was clean but the wall had scratched, torn wallpaper, mould between the tiles in the ensuite. The loungeroom needed a spruceup and the coffee machine was a challenge to use.

When I visit Paris, I spend very little time in my hotel room. Thus, I want a safe and economical place to sleep and shower, and this hotel offered just that. The room had a not-so-comfortable bed and a private shower (rare for budget hotels). The room was serviced every day. I opted out of breakfast and went to the... More

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighborhood Profile
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the center of Paris this neighborhood has something for every hour of the day.
