We researched lots of places before booking Hotel du Petit Moulin, we knew we wanted to be in the Marais district as were told it was one of the best areas of Paris - so true! So we were delighted that the hotel we had chosen was also spot on - from the moment we stepped in to the gorgeous... More

We hope you felt home during your stay thanks to our different service. Indeed it’s our main goal. Also we are very lucky to be located in a such area. As you said... More

Since the Haut Marais and the 3rd arrondisement is getting so trendy, I thought this would be the perfect spot for a few days. And it was. It was a little confusing finding the main entrance since they have retained the original old bakery doors, very charming. Excellent staff that are knowledgeable, helpful and thoughtful. Since the streets are so... More

Dear Cincytravelqueen, First of all, we would like to thank you for leaving a note about your impressions as regards our hotel. Indeed, pretty often, our guests and taxi drivers don't easily find the entrance of the hotel as everybody thinks that it is still a bakery. This front door is all the history of our hotel, it means a... More

Hotel du Petit Moulin came highly recommended to us by a Parisian friend. The photos on the website are a bit deceiving. The hotel was perfectly nice but showing signs of fading and shabbiness, a bit worn around the edges. We were spoiled as we'd just come from Grand Hotel Bordeaux and l'hostellerie de plaisance in St. Emilion, both luxury... More

Dear San Francisco, I thank you for your comments which are always useful for us to improve. Your first room was a comfort room, the first catergory we have, I am pleased that we were able to move you to a larger room, which you enjoyed. I agree that when you come to Paris after staying in a countryside hotel... More

We stayed here in October for 2 nights , fabulous area and fabulous decor. The rooms were beautifully decorated , very cool . The porter was a friendly man but the reception staff could have been friendlier. Whilst helpful , they only helped with specific questions not offering any extra information . We have stayed in Paris a lot and... More

This hotel has a fantastic location, right in the heart of le Marais, from the outside it looks like a boulangerie and then inside it is all colour and quirk! Room size is good for Paris with a spotless bathroom. The honesty bar in the evening is then the breakfast room in the morning, with white linen table cloths. Breakfast... More

Dear Bouchfred, We would like to say "merci" for your nice comment. Indeed, Hotel du Petit Moulin looks like a bakery because it used to be. In fact the legend says that Victor Hugo usually got his bread here. That’s why we still have the same front door, it keeps the old soul and story of our hotel. The honesty... More

I have just stayed four nights with my husband in the ground floor room. Although is a small room, I loved it. The decoration by Christian Lacroix is extravagant but lovely, nice bathroom with the best shower I have ever used, Hermes products. Although the room had two windows looking the street, since they had double windows it was very... More

This hotel was a wonderful place to stay and I was really glad I found it. Amazing decor of the rooms, all different and by Christian Lacroix. We stayed here in 2010 and loved it so much that we decided to return again. And it didn't disappoint. We stayed here for 6 nights. Very good hotel in an amazing location right in the middle of the famous Marais Area; however very quiet. The decoration is very "couture" we loved every details. The staff is really helpful and smily. Good wifi. Breakfast is without hot dishes but all is delicious.

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighorhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
