This small hotel is in a good position for seeing everything, on a quiet road with parking close by. From the outside it is adorable and inside adorable with a twist! We had a good welcome from friendly staff who were helpful throughout our stay. Our room was on a corner at the front of the hotel, a little small... More

Stayed fo 3 nights...right in the Marais area but quiet street at night. They lent us an Apple charger too ! Only 2 suggetions... the bed in room 202 is a bit firm...it needs a mattress topper and instead of having a small round table with 2 chairs in a small room,a chest of drawers for putting clothes away would... This hotel is truly amazing. In an old bakery, Mr Christian Lacroix created a beautiful boutique hotel. Each room is crazy and lovely. We loved the simple but delicious breakfast. The staff is very helpful. Location: perfect! Right in le Marais, and close to the Museum Picasso.

Stayed in this little gem on Valentine's day a coulpe of days ago....it was fantastic! Perfect spot for the lovers, ideal location to hang around in Le Marais which is a great spot for restaurants, bistrots, galleries and shopping. The staff was so kind, nothing was too much trouble for them. The place is like a little doll house, every... More

The hotel is really nice, a good buotique hotel in a cool area of Paris. Room size is above average for Paris, but still small. Everything was ok, I was just expecting something more "WOW" on the Lacroix intervention in the room, but still the hotel is reccomandable

A very chic hotel in the well-known Marais neighborhood. Close to a lot of interesting places, like St. Paul, Picasso Museum or the Rue des Rosiers. The rooms are decorated by Lacroix and are very chic. We stayed in 303, where the mirrors create a magical ambiance. The rooms are well isolated, so we could rest without being disturbed by... More

We researched lots of places before booking Hotel du Petit Moulin, we knew we wanted to be in the Marais district as were told it was one of the best areas of Paris - so true! Since the Haut Marais and the 3rd arrondisement is getting so trendy, I thought this would be the perfect spot for a few days. And it was. It was a little confusing finding the main entrance since they have retained the original old bakery doors, very charming. Excellent staff that are knowledgeable, helpful and thoughtful. Since the streets are so... More

Dear Cincytravelqueen, First of all, we would like to thank you for leaving a note about your impressions as regards our hotel. Indeed, pretty often, our guests and taxi drivers don't easily find the entrance of the hotel as everybody thinks that it is still a bakery. This front door is all the history of our hotel, it means a... More

Hotel du Petit Moulin came highly recommended to us by a Parisian friend. The photos on the website are a bit deceiving. The hotel was perfectly nice but showing signs of fading and shabbiness, a bit worn around the edges. We were spoiled as we'd just come from Grand Hotel Bordeaux and l'hostellerie de plaisance in St. Emilion, both luxury... More

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
