Although it's in the perfect spot (close to the metro, Tour Montparnasse, Gallerie Lafayette, etc), this hotel left a lot to be desired. I could hear coughing, children crying, and all other human activities from our next door neighbors at all hours of the night. The luggage storage room was not locked, and although our bags were still there at... More

This was a horrible experience from beginning to end. The pictures do not represent the room at all. The room was so small it was difficult to get around, the shower it barely fit one, there was no place to put our luggage, the wallpaper was peeling off the walls there were no amenities. The staff was not helpful, Plus... More

The hotel is just a few minutes walk to Gare Montparnasse train station, Tour Montparnasse complex, Montparnasse Bienvenue metro station, a lot of cafe, restaurants, cinemas, shops. Most staff are friendly and speak English. The hotel is old, rooms are small and lack of room amenities, very simple breakfast which provides coffee, bread and yogurt.

We stay with family in winter time, so the price was not so high. The location is briliant, quite street, many restourants around. Rooms are little, and its different than in photos. First night we stay in One room, and the next day we have to go in another, that wasnt very comfort.

My (then) boyfriend and I stayed here last August (2014) while visiting Paris for a short break. The location is brill, I've never been to Paris before so I don't speak from great experience, but I felt it was a really good location to explore the sights of one of the most beautiful places I've ever been to! The hotel... More

Location of the hotel is reasonable, everything else is ... well, you get what you pay for. The rooms are small, old and not very clean. We had a room on the 4th floor with a balcony. The best part was the balcony. We had our late night drinks there and it was lovely.

We had a family room for family of 4, 2 grown up children. Tiny room, tired looking furnishings but clean. Staff were very helpful and friendly, no question was too hard; special mention to Moosa and Ghiles. Terrific location, we walked everywhere but there are 2 metro stops very close. Delicious eateries close by. This hotel is in the middle... More

Hotel is well located, 5 min from train station (Gare Montparnasse), 2 min from metro Edgar Quinet, also not far from places of interest: 15 min- Luxembourg Gargen, 20-25 min Musee d'Orsay. Room is very small, bathroom is also too small. We did not take breakfast, it's more expensive, than in cafe nearby. A lot of restaurant near hotel allow... More

At first we were pleased with the quadruple room but then... I saw something crawling on the pillow! Bed bug!!!! I stayed awake all night patrolling these disgusting bugs. They were everywhere. Crawling all over the beds, the walls, even the floors. I actually feel sick writing about it. The staff were very apologetic and changed our room to a... More

Despite the terrible reviews, I didn't find the hotel to be that bad. Was a little untidy? Yes. But, you get what you pay for -- and I didn't want to spend a lot of money on my hotel when there is so much to do in Paris. Rooms were smaller, but we were able to fit 3 persons comfortably.... More

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighborhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the center of Paris this neighborhood has something for every hour of the day.
