I was in luck to get checked in a two ppl room while i booked for four ppl room. The room is clean, has a private bathroom and with towels provided, which may not be the case for more ppl room. There is no locker in the room though and the lockers in the hallway are tiny ones. Breakfast is... More

The rooms are little dirty, the bathroom was nice but the shower was terrible. Dirty and not very good. The rooms are not that big and the price is high, when you see what you're paying for. The staff was nice and breakfast ok. The hostel was close to the Metro which was good.

The rooms are clean and neat. Bit smaller than our other hostels we stayed in but it was still okay. Nice private bathroom and no noise when we wanted too sleep (end January). Staff is not super friendly but they are very helpful. What was outstanding though - we already booked on-line and paid the deposit, something came up so... More

Absolute is close to metro and McDonalds + food shop. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the breakfast you get in the morning is perfect to start the day. Wifi connection also great in the rooms. Room was clean and bathroom cleaned everyday. Overall I will recommend Absolute Hostel to anyone.

It was crazy hot in the rooms at night due to radiator being constant but you can open windows. Only real problem with the hostel is it directly next to a nightclub and you can here everything! It isn't operational every night, I was there 2 nights, nothing on the Monday but was going to at least 1 in the... More

I booked this hostel mainly because it was the closer and cheapest one I could find near the location I had my dance audition. If I didn't have family living in the outskirts of Paris, I would have stayed here for the rest of the week! It's a tiny thing when you enter the reception but I think it makes... More

I stayed at Absolute two nights, once in a tiny but adequate single room with bath, once in the dorm-style place with three other women. The primary plus is the location, near but not on Republique with metro and a full range of food options in restaurants of every ethnicity and a grocery; the second is the secure feeling. Multi-lingual... More

We stayed here for two nights on our visit to paris. We stayed private room with in suite bath. The room is small and bathroom is even smaller. The place is in a food location. Staff was friendly and the atmosphere was good. The place is a little run down but still got great amenities. They refreshed our towels and... More

Stayed four nights in a 4 bed, female dorm with private bathroom. The room was very small, as is normal for Paris, but when you can't fit all the luggage in the room comfortably, that's perhaps a little too small. The room was poorly lit with three wall sconces with low wattage globes, of which only two worked. As the... More

Staying in Canal Saint-Martin

Neighborhood Profile
Canal Saint-Martin
The tree-lined Canal Saint-Martin is the focal point of one of the most romantic and hip areas of Paris. Watch boats travel along the canal while lovers and friends take in the atmosphere from the banks or the bridges. Evenings see hoards fill the embankments to drink wine and enjoy good company. The colder days lead people to hipster bars, cozy restaurants, and concert spaces. Those who are more adventurous may explore hidden gems down nearby streets, from local bars to futuristic architecture. With its enriching mix of people of all ages and backgrounds, this neighborhood has a dynamic, inspiring vibe.
