This is a great little mid-priced hotel on a small little street a stone's throw from the Luxembourg Gardens. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are typically 'Parisian small" but adequate for 1 person (or two with small suitcases). The decor is modern and the property seems to have been fairly recently renovated. The bathroom was also... More

Great hotel! At first impression, I got worried about the size of the hotel. Being a Best Western, I imagined a big American type of hotel. Since I was traveling with my infant daughter, size mattered! But my room was perfect! We had a King sized bed and were welcomed with a large pack and play ready to go. The... More

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights in April during our trip through Europe. We are from NYC so we are used to the smaller rooms and found this room to actually be bigger than we expected. Breakfast was decent, but not too much variety. We really appreciated how convenient the hotel is to public transportation, but also... More

This small hotel has a great location, with easy acces to the metro, many excellent restaurants and shops. My wife and I, spent 6 nights in April and loved it. Carmen, Beatrice, Ahmid and others in the hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Room was small but very well maintained and cleaned daily. We were allowed to use their... More

We really enjoyed our stay here. We had the room off the garden, #105, it was perfectly quiet anytime of the day or night. The rooms were clean, the staff was helpful and the metro stop was conveniently located up the street. The only issue we had was the wifi was hit or miss at times. Will definitely stay here... More

Americans may find the accommodation small compared to NYC, LA, or other cities. But the room was immaculate, the maid service excellent, the people VERY helpful and very friendly. It's on a small side street so traffic is minimal. There is a wine store across the street with a knowledgeable and very friendly person to assist you. Breakfast is served... More

We stayed here in April 2015 and found the hotel rooms very clean and comfortable. The neighborhood was great with good access to the metro and a short walk to the park. Lots of shops and restaurants to choose from. The staff at the hotel was very friendly and helpful. We'd stay here again. It was also an easy train... More

The room was clean. Bed was hard and the air conditioner broke. The front desk people were really nice. Breakfast was kind of plain. We had the brrakfast for free and still didnt eat it a couple days. It was very close to a fee metro stops which was a huge plus. Place was ok but I would try somewhere... More

A simple, no fuss place on a side street off the bustling Montparnasse. Our court-side room on the second "etage"--which would be called the third floor in Canada--was so quiet, dark and peaceful that our jet lag was solved after one long delicious nap. Very fresh decor, updated plumbing and good linens. Small rooms, but not the smallest we've had... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
