Based on positive reviews on TripAdvisor and another site, my wife and I stayed here for 3 nights with our 3 kids. We had requested one room for 5 (which is almost impossible to find in Paris) and they were one of the few who had that...once we got there, we realized they gave us adjacent rooms (2 in one,... We stayed in this hotel last September and were very pleased with the hotel and the area it was in. Very close to a metro station and quick and easy to go all over the city. Breakfast was very nice, fresh croissants and bread etc. Staff were friendly and you could book tickets for the Louvre and Versailles at their... More

My husband and I, and two friends, also from Canada, stayed at this hotel at the beginning of July, 2014, for 3 nights. It is a small, quaint hotel with comfortable, but small, rooms, a delicious breakfast served downstairs, and located right near the Port D'orleans metro. There were restaurants within walking distance, and a big grocery store just a... More

This was a good alternative for trying to find a reasonably priced hotel in Paris - there aren't any! The location is about a 1/2 hour bus ride from the major sights. The rooms are small but beds are comfortable. Internet was spotty in the rooms but good in the lobby. Most of the staff is friendly except one of... More

My husband and I chose this hotel after consulting Trip Advisor. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the hotel was clean. It's a good idea to buy the hotel's breakfast because it was difficult to find breakfast in the surrounding neighborhood; in fact, it was hard to find a nice lunch or dinner nearby either. However, the Metro is... More

Paris is usually a hotel ripoff, high prices for tiny rooms. This hotel is an exception; affordable 100 euro, in quiet street but v close to porte d'Orléans métro station, and has pretty parc Montsouris nearby; rooms clean, rated 3 star; good breakfast; I would definitely come back here

This hotel was brilliant. Great facilities Excellent location for all of Paris' main attractions, just a small bus or metro ride away. The staff were amazingly helpful, they have us great tips and directions. Would and probably will visit this place again!

My mother was travelling with her brother and spent 5 nights at Virginia Hotel, Paris. Overall experience was great; everything was very clean, room very cozy. They were impressed by the kindness of the staff, very helpful and warm. The hotel is conveniently located in a quite area though very near the Metro station. Breakfast was delicious. They are very... More

Convenient location as it's located near a metro station, Porte d'Orleans. We landed at CDG and were flying out of ORY. The hotel has a cute old elevator that barely accommodates two people with some luggage. We were put up on the 6th floor and had to be patient waiting for the elevator. The hotel, though average overall in room... More

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighborhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the center of Paris this neighborhood has something for every hour of the day.
