Nice little cozy hotel with good location! Just less than 5 minute walk to either metro or bus station. Staffs there are friendly and very good in giving necessary info to the tourist. They advise us to take buses instead of ‘dangerous metro’ and we did! The only thing we are very disappointed is the room does not come with... More

Nothing spectacular as far as venue is concerned. The rooms were clean-ish but could have been considerably better, and it was tiny, as was the elevator. That said, I suspect it was typical of Paris. The staff on the other hand were spectacular. Extraordinarily friendly and helpful in getting around - they talked us out of taking the hop-on hop-off... More

Spent four nights in this hotel with husband in october 2012. Room was very small, but very clean with a bath and a shower. The staff were more than excellent, helped a lot with tips for city sightseeing and directions for bus. They spoke perfect english. Outside the hotel there are many shops and restaurants. Bus station and metro are... More

Wonderful stay in this hotel. We were warmly greeted at the desk upon arrival and received a map of the city. The helpful receptionist gave us loads of information about paris. The rooms are very clean and comfy. The breakfast was reasonable with cereals, fruit, bread, yogurt etc. Each morning the lady in the breakfast room brought us a basket... More

There is an amazing restaurant at the corner of the street that serves fantastic found and a great 2 or 3 course meal. There are 2 grocery stores nearby for... More

I was there for 3 nites with my family (3 of us). Wasn't very hopeful when I saw it online & booked it but when I checked in, I was surprised with the room. It's a small & tidy hotel not very close to city centre or eiffel tower etc but very well connected to all great locations thru'metro &... More

Have stayed in Virgina hotel from May 27th untiil May 30th and enjoyed it very much. Our room; 602 could be reached by stairs but also by a typical French, very small elevator. From our window we had a very distant view on the Eiffel tower which was nice of course. Our room was small but very adequate with a... More

Our room (standard double) was very small by American standards, but that is usual for any hotel room in Paris. The hotel is about a block from the Porte d'Orleans metro station, so getting around the city from the hotel was very easy. Hotel staff were helpful and it was easy to purchase breakfast for 10 EUR apiece at the... More

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighborhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the center of Paris this neighborhood has something for every hour of the day.
