Booked hotel 2 months ahead. Arrived in Paris tired to find out they had moved us to a different hotel without bothering to tell us. We were told to take it or sleep on the street (" C'est ca ou la rue! "). Staff were frankly insulting ("faut degager!") until they found out we actually understood French. The other hotel... more

Location is the perfect ,only 3 minutes walk to the Opera or Place Vendome. The metro station is very close. Louvre museum,Rue de la paix, Saint-Honore ,Tuilerrie are all in walking distance. The room is decent size for Paris. The bathroom is clean and decent. No style ,no decoration at all.TV is very old. The mattress is the worst. It made me... more

I gave this hotel the 4-star "above average" rating because of its spectacular location. The room itself was fine, not shabby, but not luxurious either. The bathroom was quite nice, but the toilet was in a small separate room by itself, and was not connected directly to the bathroom, it was private, though. Having read the reviews, I was hesitant... more

The hotel was right in the middle of paris and well within walking distance to most of the main attractions. There was a lovely younger lady working on the desk who was fantastic. However the rest of the staff were not as pleasant. There was issue with the room we were staying in. There was also a mouse problem. Staff... more

The Choiseul Opera is within walking distance to most everything. A most perfect location. It is right around the corner from Cafe du Paix a noted restaurant in Paris, and also two doors from Harry's Bar, a most delightful place. The hotel couldn't have been nicer and accommodating. I had injured my knee on the trip over, and they supplied... more

I stayed here in July 2008 and found the room of decent size and respectable, the staff on the other hand were extremely rude (unfortunately i cannot speak much french) and they were completely unforgiving of this. If they had a change of employees i would stay there again but until that happens i wont be considering it. more

Hotel Choiseul Opera is located in a safe and clean area. One can be assured that the shopping in that whole area is sufficient, especially with the Lafayette Galaries shoppping centre. So huge, so many things to see and buy. The decor of the rooms are somewhat old and outdated. The bathroom seems of age as well. However, the rooms... more

The hotel is very conveniently located near the Opera, Galleries Lafayette, Printemps, as well as the Roissybus for CDG airport and the metro station. (There are free maps and shopping discount vouchers in a rack near the reception - worth picking up.) There are also plenty of cafes nearby. Internet booking on the hotel's own website (multi-lingual, including English) was... more

Booked entirely online at parisinfo.com this hotel is in an ideal location right in the Opera area of Paris. Two fit 50 year olds and a teen girl, we walked everywhere! Louvre, Musee D'Orsay, good restaurants, the Seine River to catch the Batobus down to the Eiffel Tower and the Champs Elysees, etc. It's not a fancy hotel, but very... more

Hotel has good prices and an excellent location. Very good breakfast. Service is unpredictable. Several of the staff were down right hateful. One woman refused to order a taxi for us. Don't get an exterior room - too noisy, you won't be able to sleep. Evidently some of the rooms have been redone. Mine wasn't. One maid in particular was... more
